Greetings from George! George is new on the adoption floor and still feeling out the new environment. George and 15 other cats came to us from an over-populated housing situation, and most have not developed social skills yet, this is something our staff is working on and what we would want their future adopter to continue. George hasn`t shown us his full personality yet, but we think with patience, love, and tasty treats he will come out of his shell and blossom! Frank is roughly 4-6 years old. His original owner could no longer care for him, so my husbands oldest daughter wanted to take him and she kept him in her bedroom at her mother’s house for a couple years. Well, she brought him to our house, we tried to get him acclimated to our current pets (1 cat 2 dogs) over the last year and it hasn’t worked out. The other household he came from also does not want him returned to their house. He is very timid around men in general. My husband has tried to get the cat to like him but Frank still hisses at him every time he goes near but also will sometimes let him pet him right after. This cat is an intact male- when he’s stressed out he sprays. A home with no other pets would be best. We wanted to try to get him fixed-we found out he has a heart murmur and would need bloodwork first and may not stop spraying even after being fixed. He is a very sweet cat- he loves attention. He wants to sleep beside you, he gives head butts as affection.
