She’s a rescued cat found in abandoned housing 2 years ago. She’s a 5years old tortie with green eyes and is spayed. She’ been in a couple of households since rescued but hasn’t found the place where she feels safe enough to show her full personality. We’re looking for a patient home that has experience with shy cats, preferably no small children, that will allow her to stay inside. She’s a sweet girl, isn’t aggressive at all, she chooses flight over fight, litter box trained, prefers to explore at night when folks aren’t walking around as much, she’s playful with her toys, enjoys small mouse toys, and she enjoys small dark spaces to hide so it would be best to keep her in a small room first so you can keep an eye on her. Shes very habitual; likes to do the same thing everyday, so she would thrive with a human who has a schedule she’s able to learn as well.

Price is a very loving extremely affectionate young kitty. He loves to play with his springy toys and is not afraid of absolutely anything! He's a sweet kitty that just needs a lot of love and tlc

Online  Adoption Application THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. *Clarisse & Kringle are siblings. It would be great if they could be adopted together, but it is not required.* Meet Kringle! He came into the rescue with his sister, Clarisse. They are both "mini Maine Coons Mix Cats".  When they were kittens, Kringle and Clarisse were kept in a crate, all alone in a basement. They were not handled or socialized; when they arrived at the rescue, they might as well have been wild animals. However, volunteers have had tremendous success transforming Kringle from an extremely distrustful, terrified cat into a nice boy who enjoys pets and soaks up attention! Kringle is still "working on himself," so he needs an adopter who has experience owning cats and is willing to proactively socialize him. Kringle loves having his neck and cheeks scratched-- it puts a big grin on his face! He likes napping on the desk, preferably snuggled up to you. He sleeps on the bed with his people and has even started creeping up to enjoy a warm lap! Kringle is submissive around other cats, but has made friends with a few of his housemates. He doesn't assert himself during playtime, but if there is no competition, he plays gleefully with his rainbow ball and chases anything that wiggles. Kringle is not suited to a household with children. Due to his lack of socialization, Kringle gets overstimulated and will nip at hands. Kringle remains cuddly for longer and longer periods of time, so we are hopeful that when he feels secure in a home of his own, he won't be prone to that behavior. Kringle needs an adopter who is patient but also assertive. Kringle and Clarisse cannot be left to hide and decompress like most cats. They will not "come around in their own time." Kringle's owner must be willing to keep him in a room (or a large enclosure) with *no hiding spots* for several weeks. Ideally, his owner will spend long periods of time in the room, quietly in his presence, playing, and petting him. This "exposure therapy" has worked really well for Kringle, especially because he loves being petted so much! Kringle and Clarisse's foster parents are happy to help strategize and guide their new owner/s through the socialization process. During this time-- and always-- the adopter must be committed to using only positive reinforcement. (Remember, yelling or punishment of any kind teaches cats to be afraid of you; they do not connect your actions to something they did.) Help Kringle continue to grow into the loyal, friendly companion he was destined to be, before he became a victim of neglect.
