Story
Bugs had a rough start to life. She was found wandering the streets all alone, unsure of where she belonged or who she could trust. When she arrived at the rescue, she was a little shy and nervous, but everyone could see there was a sweet, loving dog underneath it all. At her first meeting, Bugs can be a bit shy, but once she feels safe, her gentle personality begins to shine. She is learning that people can be kind, that soft beds are meant for sleeping, and that every day can bring something good. Bugs has come so far, but there is still one thing missing from her life—a family to call her own. She is waiting for someone who will be patient with her, show her what love feels like, and promise never to give up on her. Bugs doesn't need a perfect family. She just needs her family. Could you be the forever home that Bugs has been waiting for? ❤️🐾

Story
Meet Jake! Affectionately known as “Jake from State Farm,” this 14-year-old Silky Terrier still has plenty of personality, pep, and love to give. Don’t let his age fool you—Jake enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and being right in the middle of whatever his people are doing. Jake is a social little guy who thrives on companionship and would love a home where someone is around often. He has a bit of FOMO and simply wants to be included in daily life. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and affectionate side shines through, and he quickly settles into being a loyal little shadow. He would do best with patient, dog-savvy adopters who understand that while Jake is sweet, he can also be sensitive when feeling stressed or restrained. He may react when picked up unexpectedly or during grooming and vet handling, so respecting his boundaries and helping him feel secure is important. Jake has lived successfully with a cat and is a bonded pair with Luna Bee. His interactions with dogs are still being evaluated, though he can be reactive around them. A calm home with respectful older children could be a good fit for him. Like many senior dogs, Jake does have some ongoing medical needs, including a prescription urinary diet, regular grooming, dental care, and monitoring for mild heart disease and previous urinary issues. Despite this, he remains happy, engaged, and full of life. Jake is looking for someone who will embrace both his quirks and his charm—a patient, loving home where he can spend his golden years feeling safe, included, and adored. Jake is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Story
This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better. If you are interested in adopting RYAN, please submit an application on the website below. Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org
