Story
This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better. If you are interested in adopting RYAN, please submit an application on the website below. Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org

Story
Meet Flash! Hi there! My name is Flash, and I’m a 10-year-old, 12-pound Lhasa Apso (or something close to it!) with a big personality packed into a little body. I’m a social guy who truly loves everyone I meet—no warm-up period needed! I’ve been around children ages four and up and do great with them. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the day is when the kids get home from school—I get so excited to see them and join in on the fun! I’m a well-mannered gentleman with great house habits. I’m house trained and prefer lounging on my cozy dog bed over spending time in a crate. I walk nicely on a leash and really enjoy getting out for strolls where I can take my time sniffing, exploring, and checking out the world around me. I even like water, so maybe there are some beach adventures in my future! When it comes to other dogs, I do best with calm, respectful companions. Dogs that are too dominant or “in your face” can make me a little nervous, so I’d love a laid-back canine friend—or to be your one and only. My vision isn’t perfect, but don’t worry—I get around just fine! I may see shadows here and there, but I navigate my world confidently and don’t bump into things. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m all set for my next chapter. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, easygoing companion to share your days with, I might just be your guy. I came into rescue after a nice lady kept seeing me tied up outside a local tire shop. I would just lay on the concrete all day. My new people talked the owner of the tire shop into letting me have a better life by finding a new family. That was no way for me to live. Interested in adopting Flash? Please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for more information and application details.

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Lola/Molly was listed on line as needing help here in WA as her original owner had to go to an assisted living facility. No one in her family wanted to help Lola so a friend volunteered to find her somewhere to go. Lola was originally a matted smelly mess and was groomed. We found out she was not spayed, needed medically everything & she had, had several liters. We rescued this little lady & she is flourishing in her foster home & had all of her medical taken care of & now gets to enjoy constant friendship with other dogs and a backyard to run around in. We believe every sweet soul such as Lola and her friends deserves to be loved and cherished and given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Lola is looking for a special family to cherish her and be patient with her and remember what this beautiful soul has been through and a family that meets all her needs. Lola is the most beautiful soul and loves hard when people love her. She knows her world is so very different & a lot more fun & adventures. Her foster mum said she is such a good girl and up for anything and comes when she calls her and gets so excited at times, ie when it’s time to get up, dinner time, going for adventures. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her and she will love you back. She adores being hugged and held & is constantly with one of her foster mums. She also enjoys belly rubs. She is a really smart girl and adjusted quickly to her foster home. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle girl who gets so excited every time she sees her foster mum and her little tail is always wagging with glee. She loves to run and play with her foster siblings and must go to a home with another dog who will be company for her. Lola eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats and supplements. She also enjoys collagen sticks and bully sticks. Lola has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. She would need continued work walking on her harness & leash. Lola is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Lola adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning his eyes, grooming her, baths, the hairdryer she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Lola enjoys playing with toys & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Lola has learnt to ride in the car and does well in the car and enjoys a good car ride. She is such an amazing, loving little lady. With Lola we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Lola where someone is home during the day or Lola can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Lola is looking for a forever home who will cherish her and love her as she should be loved and be very patient with her and understanding. Lola has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes and sizes and she is currently with other dogs and enjoys their company in her loving foster home. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings and will want to sleep in bed with you and she does in her current loving foster home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Lola’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Lola is now 8.8 lbs & 4 - 5 years old. She is now spayed & perhaps a Lhasa apso & what she is mixed with we are not sure? We also just got her a dental & she had 6 teeth removed. She is microchipped, up to date on her shots including DHPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent more on Lola with paying for her medical care, including, shots, spay, dental microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Lola has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have had Lola with small children & did great but we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Lola was conceived so we do not know who her parents were and it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures and decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues and Lola’s friends she will need work on potty training and training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life and that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Lola potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through and what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them and if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training and not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Lola and going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end and are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on and remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview and a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet and if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Lola who understands her needs and that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives and please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Lola has an adoption fee of $895 & is ready for her truly loving forever home and compassion and understanding of what she has been through.

Story
Fly wheel is so calm and smart! This little lady might be half cat, she loves to sun bathe and be carried like a baby. Fly wheel will play with humans, little dogs, big dogs, cats and kids! She loves attention and will be the best little buddy. Cuddling in a lap and being carried around are favorite pastimes, Fly wheel has soft silky hair and is getting used to baths and blow dryers. Fly wheel is smart and is learning to go potty outside. Fly wheel is happy to sleep and go in her playpen when home alone and doesn’t cry or whine EVER! She’s easy going and quick to pick up routines. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.   This dog came to us via an eastern WA shelter after being taken from a property with about 45 dogs on it.  They only knew that place so have been shy initially in new places and with new people.  Please expect this if considering one of these dogs/puppies.   Her coat does not need to be cut like a hair dog but we did it to when she came in to start her over with a fresh start due to her unkept coat.  Her coat is a medium length mix of a flully and scruffy.  There were a lot of scruffy terriers on the property but her color resembles a lhasa mix but is likely just the coat color she ended up with in that huge mix of heinz 57 small breed mixes.   She is a shy but gentle girl.  She will thrive with a quieter home and someone who will continue to make her feel safe and well cared for.  She was great for the groomer and vet staff too.  Loudness and chaos scares her.  Since she won't readily go up to people, she must be leashed outside and often inside.  She will stay just out of reach.  It will be a journey and only time and consistency will do the trick.  Keeping her safe until she reaches a safe spot with you is mandatory for success. If you can continue to shower her with love, kindness, training and all she needs and deserves, please submit our adoption application to get the process started.    Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2026, 3:05 pm
