ChrissySnow is a 3 y/o Shih/Poo(?) weighing about 12 lbs available for adoption with Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. She's house-trained, good with people (loves kids), not a fan of cats. Chrissy needs a fenced yard. Remember: she will need to be professionally groomed every 2 months ($$) and tip your groomer well because she's a wiggle worm. Now for the hard stuff: ChrissySnow is a bully when she initially meets new dogs (no leash walks for her). In a few hours, she's playing chase and running zoomies through the yard with those same dogs. 98% of the time ChrissySnow is A-OK with other dogs; 2% of the time she's a bully. It's all noise and ego, but she will bully other dogs in the home. Because of that, we're going to say no kids under 16. Now let's talk about separation anxiety: ChrissySnow has exhibited separation anxiety by climbing childgates, trying to bust out of a crate, and being vocal (no shared walls for her). She has not shown those behaviors in the foster home (where there are other dogs). Why does ChrissySnow have separation anxiety as an only dog vs in a multi-dog foster home? Maybe she simply doesn't care about being separated from foster mom? Or maybe the other dogs help her not feel so anxious? 🤷 We have quite the conundrum: she bullies other dogs, but might do best with a dog buddy in the home.
