Meet Mylo!Mylo is literally a teddy bear. He looks like a teddy bear. He acts like a teddy bear. It's like a little kid made a birthday wish for their favorite teddy bear to come to life and the universe went, you know what, why not.And thus Mylo was created.(Insert obligatory "we are being facetious, he is not literally a teddy bear, he is a sentient creature with actual feelings and thoughts and who requires actual care, living animals are not toys, etc".)Mylo is a 4.5 year old shih tzu, weighs a little over 15lbs, and he's a certified 100%, Grade A good boy. He loves people, he loves attention, and he has no reservations about hopping all over your legs or jumping right into your lap like he's known you forever. He's great on a leash but can be a little pully, especially when he's excited, and he DOES get excited! He can be prone to zoomies, just like any dog, and he's definitely NOT a couch potato.Mylo LOVES other dogs and does this silly little excited dance when he sees them. He DOES have the tendency to jump on other dogs so bear that in mind - if you have something tiny and fragile at home, Mylo won't be a good fit. He would also do well with dog-friendly cats. We're not too sure that he knows what a cat actually IS, but he didn't fixate or instigate and just kind of wandered off on his own when he got bored of having his soul stared into. Kids 8+ would be fine as long as they have dog manners. He has shown some excitement for plush squeaky toys and will probably hoard them like a tiny dragon. He knows "sit"...selectively. Meet Rivers!I don't know why we keep getting things that look like muppets or fantasy creatures that have wares if you have coin, but here we are. In the wise words of DJ Khaled...another one!Rivers is a young girl, only about a year old, and she weighs just under 16.5lbs. She's a shih tzu mix - we are not sure what she's mixed with so obviously can't guarantee that she's hypoallergenic. Whatever she is, she WILL need consistent grooming and coat maintenance to keep her from looking like a sheep or a professional ragamuffin or something. Since Rivers is young, some puppy behavior should be expected. She's decent on a leash but can be a little pully for a lady her size. She can be prone to zoomies and can be pretty playful and hyper - again, puppy behavior. A little bit of a drama queen scaredy-cat at first, she warms up in almost no time at all and then she just wants to wiggle around and be a social butterfly. She wants to be friends with anyone and everyone...unless a dog that is bouncier than she is wants to say hello and then she's a little less on board with that. She DOES do well with other dogs but she gets spooked if they're right up in her face from the start. She's pretty much the same with cats - understandably wary, but would be fine once she learns they won't eat her.Since we don't have a history on her, older kids are preferred - 10yo+.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
