Story
Meet Zoey!Zoey is a 3yo chihuahua/shih tzu mix weighing a whole entire 12lbs. She's a little dainty lady with a dainty personality and she's looking for a low-key sort of home where she can live out her dream of being a spoiled princess.Zoey did come from the same home/owner as Pebbles the shih tzu. We're not trying to adopt them out together because Pebbles genuinely could NOT care less about Zoey one way or another and being around Pebbles actually makes Zoey even more of an anxious wreck. Codependency at its finest. BUT this does mean that we know for a fact that Zoey was absolutely adored before her owner passed away and she's just looking for that kind of high life again.This girl is MUCH better on a leash than Pebbles. She doesn't think it's an evil adversary and will only pancake occasionally - most of the time, she barely pulls and she's happy to trot along next to you. She is a bit of a velcro pup, especially in new surroundings, but she'll eventually work up the courage to venture out and explore. She is a shy girl and will need someone with time and patience...but when she finally cracks, she is SUCH a little love!Zoey would do well in a home with other dogs (small dogs would be best) and with cats. She met some of the cats here and...she vibrated. That's pretty much it. Kids 12+ highly preferred just because she's such a shy girl and the quieter and calmer the home, the better.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
