Story
Sweet P 💕 | 5–5.5 years old Foster to Adopt?Sweet P is exactly what her name promises… a gentle, quiet little soul who just needs a bit of time to feel safe—and when she does, her sweetness absolutely shines. 💗When she first arrived, the world felt like a scary place. Hands made her nervous, and her instinct was to freeze when unsure. But with patience, consistency, and so much love, Sweet P has come so far. Now, she’s learning that people bring comfort, not fear—and she’s discovered that she loves soft rubdowns and gentle massages. Her security blanket? Her beloved Lambchop toys 🧸 (yes, plural—she has a collection and takes her job of caring for them very seriously).✨ Sweet P’s Highlights:Incredibly gentle—has never shown any aggressionLearning to trust more every day and responds beautifully to calm guidanceWill sit and wait or go to her spot when askedLoves quiet affection once she feels safeCarries her Lamb Chop around like her emotional support buddySweet P may still freeze when she’s unsure, but give her a moment, and you can literally see her relax as she realizes she’s okay. Watching her build confidence is something really special.🦷 Medical Update:Sweet P has had her dental exam and is scheduled for a dental cleaning. She does have some dental issues (including likely extractions), but she’s eating well and doesn’t show signs of discomfort. We’ll make sure she gets everything she needs to feel her best.💛 The Home She Needs:Sweet P would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that love doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. She doesn’t need much—just kindness, routine, and someone who will let her continue to blossom at her own pace. After everything she’s been through, Sweet P is ready for a soft place to land and a person to call her own.If you believe in the quiet, slow kind of love—the kind that grows deeper every day—Sweet P might just be your girl. 🐾💕Name: Sweet PBreed: Maltese/Bichon? Story
DOB 6-11-2025 This gorgeous little boy named Natan is a sweetheart. He is a little shy, gets along with other little dogs, loves to play and is social. Natan is up to date on shots and a healthy boy! Natan's adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they run every other week to their stops on the East Coast. They are the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
OB 5-12-2019 Elias is a retired puppy mill worker, he was stuck in a cage for 5 years of his life from the time he was born. When he came he was so thin, his teeth were totally rotten and he couldn't eat. Well that was his old life, not his new life! Elias has been neutered, all teeth had to be removed, he was heartworm negative and is now on ProHeart6, up to date on all shots and has become a little on the porky side! Elias would love to have his own home now, something he never had hopes of is a reality for him now. Elias is crate trained, gets along with other little dogs, would love to be loved by someone who knew how special he is. Elias's adoption fee is 500.00, this transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, the only one we use for our kids! The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. Story
Gnocchi is a sweet boy who is ready to find his new home. We estimate this little man to be around 10 years old and he weighs just under 12lbs. His tongue is permanently out, but he does have some teeth. Gnocchi originally came from Alabama and he had a few medical issues that we needed to address. He had ear infections, Coccidia, and pneumonia. All have been treated and Gnocchi is ready for his next chapter. Gnocchi is quiet and independent, but he's been great with all the dogs at our rescue. He is a messy eater and sometimes prefers his wet food on the floor (quirky!) Gnocchi also enjoys finding and chewing on trash - napkins, paper towels, lint, random plastic bits - none of them are safe from Gnocchi. So ideally the floor will be kept free of debris. Gnocchi is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and recently had a dental. To apply to adopt Gnocchi, please fill out an application at vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
