Story
Panni - Please be sure to read Medical Notes below.A 3 1/3 year old girl who is truly lovely - her momma's family raves about her - she's calm, happy to be a lap dog, but can also be playful. Her mom's daughter reached out to Paws New England because her elderly mom was unable to properly care for Panni (see below re: IMHA). She has required medications for her IMHA condition, and it was not always possible for her mom to remember to give the medications.Panni just arrived at our foster home today, and so far she's doing quite well - obviously a little confused, so we will be watching her for the next week or so to get a real feeling for her personality and needs. She's ignoring the cat (who almost looks to be her size) and is doing quite well with the other dogs in the home. She'd be an amazing friend for someone who likes a do on their lap!! If you think you may be interested in this adorable fluff ball, feel free to apply now, and as we learn more about her, we can most certainly keep you updated. Medical Note for Panni: IMHAUPDATE Panni is making improvements on a new medication regimen for her IMHA. Her skin still has some considerable symptoms, but this disease often makes things look worse before better.Panni has a condition called immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA). The good news is that she has responded remarkably well to treatment, which consists of two pills twice a day. The vet is currently weaning her off this medication, as she is doing so well.IMHA is an autoimmune condition where the body mistakenly attacks its own red blood cells. While this is a serious diagnosis, many dogs go on to live happy, full lives after treatment. There is a small chance (about 10–15%) that it could return, so her future family should be attentive to any changes and seek veterinary care right away if concerns arise.Panni is feeling great right now and is ready to enjoy life in a loving, committed home that understands her medical history and will continue to monitor her health.More info on IMHA: https://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/cardiovascular/imha-immune-mediated-hemolytic-anemia-dogsMedications for her condition are not exorbitant - approx. $50 per month when needed. if needed, Paws NE woud be willing to assist with medication purchase.Name: PanniBreed: Shih TzuSex: FemaleAge: 4 years (estimated)Weight: 17 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: Location of dog currently:    South Shore MassachusettsIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if needed.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
My name is Banff and I am a Shih Tzu/Blue Heeler mix boy. That was determined with DNA. My mom is a Shih Tzu and my dad a Blue Heeler. I am active, smart, friendly and happy! I am good with other dogs and people. My foster mom does not know about cats though! I do need another young dog to play with. I would not be good with an older dog as I play a lot and would pester them. I am current on shots, neutered, microchipped and working on potty training. My adoption fee is $550. To apply, please complete an application form and send to sdrapplications@gmail.com https://www.bijouxelegance.com/shereesdogrescue/SDR_Application_03-17-2016.pdfYou can send an APPLICATION FORM  by email at: shereesdogrescue@gmail.com, or by fax at:  469-453-3331.  For more information, please call Linda at 972-658-2487.March 7, 2026, 1:14 pm

Do not use their link ASK ABOUT ME, BUT RATHER, send an application ASAP WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL WITHOUT A COMPLETED APPLICATION. Submit your application by going to our website: https://justdoodlesandfriends.org/ ADOPTION FEE: $625. Must live close in to RI This supports all rescue dogs for vetting, foods and whatever they need. We are all volunteers. Molly is an 11 month old Imperial Shih Tzu 8 lbs. who will be turning 1 on 3/22. She is a loveable, affectionate girl who loves cuddles. Molly enjoys playtime, gets the zoomies and particularly enjoys playing with her toys. Molly loves people and other animals. She is very social/playful. She enjoys sleeping with you and never forgets to give lots of kisses. Molly does well on car rides and enjoys going outside. Molly would do best in a home with another dog to spend her time with.. She does not like being left alone as most breeder dogs are used to constant company, so we are asking for a home with a playmate for her as well as someone home during the day working or retired. File your application and do not delay, ask questions later not to miss out on this gem. MEETS AND GREETS ARE IMMEDIATE for the right home. Molly is fully vetted and spayed. OUR PROCEDURE: We will choose the dog's possible family as soon as we see a match. We will phone you and further discuss . The dog will be in Rhode Island for a meet and greet. Please realize, it is our goal to get the dogs into the right homes as soon as possible and no shows are not good for the dogs and other serious dog families. If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue. The more you tell us the better picture we have of the home you can provide for our rescue Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. If you have already applied in the past, then please send us a message with your name and what dog you are now interested in being considered for and we will pull off the server. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. If you don't see any information you need to know, we probably don't have an answer....like cats...idk... AGAIN: ADOPTION FEE: $625 Submit your application by going to our website: https://justdoodlesandfriends.org/ EMAIL: justdoodlesrescue@yahoo.com

Story
Adoption Donation   $   450                 Located: RI         (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approximately 4 1/2      years old     Weight: 20   lbs    Meet Goose, a delightful Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as his playful spirit! This handsome pup is seeking the perfect adopter to share his love for outdoor adventures and playtime. Goose is a non-shedding bundle of joy who is house trained and walks well on a leash. His entertaining personality shines through as he revels in being outside, engaging in exercise, and indulging in play with stuffed animal toys larger than himself. A true companion for an active adopter, Goose is always ready for an exciting walk or a game of fetch. While he's not a big barker, his alert nature comes to life when he senses something worth barking at. He does have a quirk – you see, Goose had a very traumatic experience with grooming and doesn't tolerate some forms of touch. With patience, lots of treats and positive reinforcement we're confident that he'll make progress. He's looking for an ADULT ONLY HOME with an experienced adopter who understands the need to go slow with grooming and handling. Goose will be happiest with a fenced-in in yard and will thrive with an adopter who is home alot. If you're ready to welcome Goose into your heart and home, get ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments with this wonderful companion! If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  Cratier24@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in.
