Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Chester – proof that second chances can change everything. ❤️ At 7 years old, Chester is here to remind everyone that age is just a number. Don’t let those years fool you—this handsome Shih Tzu still has plenty of pep in his step! He loves playing with toys, chasing his dog friends around the yard, and happily chewing on his favorite bones. When Chester first came to us, he was wandering the streets alone, covered in fleas and suffering from hair loss. It’s hard to imagine anyone overlooked such a sweet little guy. But look at him now! With lots of love, good food, and veterinary care, Chester is fully vetted, healthy, and ready to start the next chapter of his life. His gentle, loving personality makes him a wonderful fit for just about any family. Whether you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, a playful companion, or a loyal best friend, Chester is ready to fill that role with all his heart. If you’re ready to give this amazing boy the forever home he deserves, visit www.adoggie4you.org for more information and to complete an adoption application. We can transport Chester out of Texas to the right home because love knows no distance. ❤️ #AdoptChester #SeniorDogsRock #ShihTzuLove #RescueDog #SecondChance #ADoggie4You #AdoptDontShop     Chester is neutered, 4DX negative, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Quinn! Quinn's story is one of resilience, healing, and unconditional love. She was found abandoned on the streets alongside her sister in heartbreaking condition. Severely neglected, Quinn was covered in painful mats, suffering from extensive hair loss caused by poor nutrition and flea infestation, and struggling with serious eye issues that had gone untreated for far too long. Since coming into rescue, Quinn has received extensive veterinary care and has been under the supervision of a local veterinary ophthalmology specialist. After numerous tests, treatments, and medications, we now know that Quinn has severe chronic dry eye, a condition common in her breed. Unfortunately, this has resulted in significant scarring of both corneas. The good news is that Quinn's right eye is responding well to treatment, and with lifelong medical management, her vision can likely be preserved. Her left eye has faced additional challenges, including a corneal ulcer and infection, but after completing her course of antibiotics and ongoing care, she has shown remarkable improvement. Despite everything she has endured, Quinn remains one of the sweetest dogs you could ever hope to meet. She is calm, gentle, affectionate, and happiest when curled up in your lap. Quinn is not a barker, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has an easygoing, laid-back personality that makes her a joy to have around. Quinn is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention and Bravecto flea and tick prevention. We have not yet tested Quinn with cats or children, so those situations are currently unknown. Adoption Fee: $400 To apply for Quinn, please visit www.adoggie4you.org. Quinn is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sayde! Sayde is a very sweet, happy, and playful girl who's ready to find a family of her own! She spent several weeks running the streets before she was finally brought to safety. Despite efforts to find her owners, no one ever came forward, so now she's looking forward to a fresh start. Sayde has a fun-loving personality and isn't shy about showing her excitement—expect a few happy barks and jumps when she sees you! She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine friend to play with. She does have a rough-and-tumble play style and may occasionally try to show she's the boss, so slow introductions and canine companions who appreciate an active playmate would be ideal. We're not completely sure if she's potty trained yet, but with consistency and patience, she should settle into a routine. Sayde is active, playful, and would do best in a home where she gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and companionship. She isn't a dog who enjoys being left home alone for long hours and will thrive with a family that includes her in everyday life. Because of her breed, Sayde will also need regular grooming to keep her coat looking and feeling its best. Sayde is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, 4DX negative, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. Her adoption fee is $400. She is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. We are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.
