Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chester! Chester’s story started on the streets, where he was found running around on his own until a kind family took him in and helped him get the care he needed.  He was covered in fleas and suffered a little from flea dermatitis, where he had no fur. Now, this handsome boy is ready to find a forever home of his own! Chester can be a little vocal when meeting new people and may bark at first, but once he gets to know you, his loving personality shines through. He’s an affectionate dog who enjoys attention and will happily jump up to say hello. Chester loves playing with his toys, enjoys spending time with his people, and gets along well with other dogs. If you’re looking for a fun, friendly companion with lots of love to give, Chester may be the perfect match for your family. Chester is neutered, 4DX negative, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Chester, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Chester is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 25, 2026, 5:11 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Quinn! Quinn's story is one of resilience, healing, and unconditional love. She was found abandoned on the streets alongside her sister in heartbreaking condition. Severely neglected, Quinn was covered in painful mats, suffering from extensive hair loss caused by poor nutrition and flea infestation, and struggling with serious eye issues that had gone untreated for far too long. Since coming into rescue, Quinn has received extensive veterinary care and has been under the supervision of a local veterinary ophthalmology specialist. After numerous tests, treatments, and medications, we now know that Quinn has severe chronic dry eye, a condition common in her breed. Unfortunately, this has resulted in significant scarring of both corneas. The good news is that Quinn's right eye is responding well to treatment, and with lifelong medical management, her vision can likely be preserved. Her left eye has faced additional challenges, including a corneal ulcer and infection, but after completing her course of antibiotics and ongoing care, she has shown remarkable improvement. Despite everything she has endured, Quinn remains one of the sweetest dogs you could ever hope to meet. She is calm, gentle, affectionate, and happiest when curled up in your lap. Quinn is not a barker, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has an easygoing, laid-back personality that makes her a joy to have around. Quinn is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention and Bravecto flea and tick prevention. We have not yet tested Quinn with cats or children, so those situations are currently unknown. Adoption Fee: $400 To apply for Quinn, please visit www.adoggie4you.org. Quinn is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tawny! Please thoroughly read my bio. Tawny's life didn't start out easy. She and her sister were found living on the streets in heartbreaking, neglected condition. Despite everything she's been through, Tawny has remained an incredibly sweet, gentle dog. She is truly the definition of a perfect companion—house-trained, great in the car, easy on a leash, calm, quiet, and wonderful with people, kids, and other dogs. Tawny loves being close to her people and is happiest curled up in a comfy spot. Her only flaw? She does not like cats and will absolutely chase them, so she needs a cat-free home. Tawny is currently being treated for Chagas disease. She has had extensive veterinary testing, including comprehensive bloodwork and an echocardiogram, with results showing everything within normal limits. She does have a Grade III/VI heart murmur and recently developed focal seizures, both of which are being managed with veterinary care and medication. Tawny is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. The adoption fee for Tawny is $450. To apply, please visit www.adoggie4you.org. Story
Lily is a 5-year-old, 10lb, Lahsa Apso/Poodle mix. She is house trained, comfortable on a leash, and demands very little other than cuddles. Lily is named after the Sheep Detective and has proven herself to be clever and brave, just like her namesake. She may not be solving mysteries (yet), but she is not afraid of a challenge. She quickly learned to climb stairs, walk on a leash, and wiggle her way onto her foster’s lap and demand affection. She is low energy, not requiring walks or much play. She hasn’t crossed the road yet, but she is easy to train, and we are sure in her new home she will enjoy experiencing new pastures with her forever family (too many sheep detective references?). She is a little shy at first, but once she is comfortable, she will become obsessed with you. She wants to follow her foster around the house and always keep an eye on her. When anyone is on the couch, Lily has to be on the couch with them, either in your lap or in her own bed. She is comfortable with the other dog in her foster home but does express clear boundaries by growling when she is uncomfortable, so she should not be housed with dogs that are reactive. Lily is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
