Story
Rita is an adorable, friendly, spunky little 7lb bundle of joy! She gets along with anyone and everyone. She loves to give kisses and be as close to her humans as possible at all times! She is pretty high energy and would do best with a young, active owner commited to getting this girl exercise and socialization. She would not do well at home alone all day while her owner is at work, for example. Rita is located in Houston TX and will not be transported until she is adopted. The adopter is responsible for paying for her transport in addition to the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $850. The first step is to fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org No inquiries will be responded to - only completed applications.

Story
Meet Lexi! Sweet and adventurous Lexi lost her home when her owner passed away. She landed in a shelter and was adopted again, only for that owner to pass away suddenly also. Lexi is now in a loving foster home and once again looking for a loving home to spend her golden years in. This sweet little fur ball is very gentle and easygoing. She is believed to be about 12 or 13 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Calm, friendly, and remarkably resilient; Lexi was living in her forever home for two years when her person suddenly passed away. She was also happily sharing her new home with another small dog. She is quite friendly—but also very much a cuddle bug who wants to nap next to you. She enjoys meeting new people and other dogs, though she at times vocalizes her greetings to some dogs from afar. Lexi recently had a dental cleaning. She has 8 bottom teeth left but has no problem eating softened kibble and soft foods. Lexi has blossomed in her foster home, showing lots of her spunky personality. She loves playing fetch, likes to roll around on the floor, and gets very excited to go on walks to sniff. She is adventurous, curious, and very kind. She loves people and would like to be near them all the time. She can struggle with being left alone and will cry if left alone for long. This will need continued patience and work. We have not seen her with cats.  She is an easy companion with the calm maturity of an older dog and modest exercise needs making her a great fit for a calm household or someone looking for a loving, sweet companion content to be near her people. She is potty and leash trained. Regular grooming will keep her lush double coat looking great. Lexi is now freshly groomed, feeling fantastic and eager to find a stable, loving home where she can continue to thrive. Lexi's adoption fee is $195. You can submit an application via our website savinggreatanimals.org   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Pretty! Pretty is an almost 1 year old Shih Tzu / Havanese mix. She was bottle-fed and it shows in the best (and wildest) ways. Pretty is extremely social and absolutely convinced that every person and every dog on earth is her best friend. She loves people of all ages and thrives on being right in the middle of whatever is happening. Privacy? Never heard of her. ,She adores other dogs and must have a confident, playful companion dog in the home, ideally one who enjoys being parkour equipment. She is way too energetic for a senior person or senior dog and will happily bounce off furniture, walls, and occasionally your dignity. Her zoomies are legendary: not quick one-minute bursts, but full half-hour cardio sessions. True to her breed, Pretty does bark at people she sees but it is less of a "get off my lawn" and more of a "GET OVER HERE AND PLAY WITH ME". Cats, however, are a different story. After being slapped by one, she decided to hold a lifelong grudge and is now a committed cat chaser.  She is athletic, nosey, and always where the action is. She also loves mud like it's a lifestyle choice, so her future family should expect regular grooming to keep her mat-free and clean. Party girl energy, spa-day maintenance. Pretty has an oversized tongue, a tiny jaw, and malformed or missing teeth, which means her tongue is always out and somehow always adorable. Annual dental and oral checkups will be important, as dental disease could be a concern down the road. Her biggest flaw? A complete lack of survival instincts. Pretty fully expects you to catch her when she launches herself into a trust fall or trust leap. She operates under the unshakable belief that the world is safe, everyone loves her, and gravity is optional. She's never met a stranger in her life. If you are looking for a fearless, chaotic, affectionate little rock star who lives life at full volume, Pretty is ready to steal the spotlight (and your heart).  Pretty is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
