Story
Meet Sugar and Johnny! Rescued from an overcrowded shelter where their lives were at risk, these two sweeties are settling into their foster home wonderfully. Johnny is around 6 years old and Sugar is 3. They are very bonded and we would like to find them a home together. Johnny and Sugar are the sweetest companions you could ever ask for. Within hours of being in their foster home, they were hopping into laps to get love and attention! They are happiest playing with their squeaky toys; Johnny loving to play fetch with them, while Sugar entertains herself by squeaking away joyfully. After play time and walks, they love cuddling up to their people for a nice quiet nap, and they nap hard- you’ll love to hear the cute snores! They are bonded tightly and love to walk together, play together, and sleep together (or on top of each other). They are crate trained at night for sleep, and know how to pee on pee pads if left alone and can’t hold it, but we are working on some potty manners that they’re already getting the hang of! Johnny and Sugar really attach to their people, and would probably be best in a home with no other dogs so they could share your undivided dog love! Johnny and Sugar are vaccinated, microchipped and fixed. Both had a dental as well and Sugar had a small growth removed from above her eye (benign). Their combined adoption fee is $600   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Gidget! Gidget is around two years old and she is just a cutie. She loves walks and going outside and exploring. Gidget loves humans and is very affectionate. She needs a minute to warm up to strangers but once she trusts you she will become very attached. She is a cuddle bug and loves belly rubs and all the love.  Gigdet is crate trained and able to be left alone if you need to be away from home.  Gidget has lived with other dogs but can be a bit jealous of them so she will probably like being your only dog so that she can hog all the attention. As mentioned she can be shy with strangers and this needs some work. She is easily overwhelmed with strangers trying to touch her and she may nip in those situations. Her foster is working on this with her.  Gigdet is not suitable for a home with kids. We have not seen her with cats. She is well potty trained and just a sweetheart. Gidget is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Alexander! Alexander is around 4 years old and came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. Alexander is a friendly, affectionate boy with a winning personality. He loves people and has a wonderful way of making everyone around him feel adored. He gets along well with other dogs and happily greets both dogs and people on his walks. He has not yet been tested with cats. We think he would also do well with children; kids over 10 should be a great fit. Alexander has a lovely balance of energy and companionship. He enjoys walks and playing in the yard, but he is equally happy curled up at his foster mom’s feet while she works from home. His favorite pastime may be gazing lovingly at her throughout the day. He has bonded beautifully with everyone in his foster home and loves being included in family life—including car rides, parks, youth sporting events, group activities/gatherings, and outdoor restaurants. He is also making great progress learning to be comfortable on his own. Alexander will go willingly into his crate with a treat and has successfully stayed home for 3+ hours. He may bark intermittently while his family is away, but he can settle himself and rest, and he comes out of his crate calm when they return. Alexander can be vocal at times, so he would not be a good fit for apartment living or a home where barking could be an issue. That said, his barking has improved tremendously as he has settled into foster care, and he is increasingly responsive to gentle correction. With consistency and time, we expect that progress to continue. Alexander was still working on potty training when he arrived in foster care, but he is coming along beautifully with a consistent routine. Regular trips outside—either into the yard or for a quick walk—have made a big difference, and his foster family is learning his cues and helping him succeed. More than anything, Alexander is a loving, social dog who wants to be part of his people’s lives. He has made wonderful progress in foster care and will thrive with a home that can give him affection, consistency, exercise, and a little patience as he continues to settle into his new life. Alexander is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is scheduled for a full dental cleaning in September. His adoption fee is $450.   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
