Adele appears to have coloring and size similar to a Smooth Fox Terrier which can have a white body with a black face but she also could have Chihuahua in her. She is an adult dog estimated to be 7 years & 10 months old (As of July 2025) and weighs about 10 lbs. She was found on the streets and taken in by the rescue. Sometimes an adult dog takes a bit longer to find their family, but we recommend them. They come to you knowing what it is like to be on the streets alone and hungry. They have a gratitude in them for being rescued. When they understand after a few months that you are their family, their loyalty and love is immeasurable. Adele is looking for that special family who wants to change her world. Tilde is bonded to Lil Bit and the pair must be adopted together. Tilde was rescued from the Manteca Animal Shelter after being hit by a car, and through it all, her spirit has stayed bright and joyful. She’s a happy, affectionate pup who’s ready to bring love and energy into her forever home. Tilde has a moderate energy level and enjoys walks, playtime, and of course—running and jumping! She does get excited and may bark when kids are playing loudly or when she’s really happy. She’s also a toy enthusiast and loves to play with anything she can get her paws on. Bonus: Tilde knows her commands in Spanish! This sweet girl does best with regular potty breaks, as she typically needs to go out every 4 to 5 hours. She does great with other dogs and is fully interested into her foster family’s pack. Tilde is good with kids, but because of her prey drive, she would do best in a home without cats. Tilde is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. Ernie. Once Ernie gets to know you, he can be s weet and affectionate. He is very cautious with new people and needs slow introductions. Energy Level? Low to Medium House trained? Yes Describe how they are on a leash? Ernie walks well on a leash and is non-reactive. Describe how they are with other dogs? He generally ignores other dogs while on walks. At the shelter, he participated in playgroups and did well with other dogs. When he first arrived, he didn’t get along with the resident dog, but he’s been improving as he decompresses and relaxes. He could potentially live with other dogs with proper introductions and patience. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Ignore cats we meet on walks (cats not moving); sometimes will chase a squirrel if it runs, but will continue walking easily. Commands they know? He knows how to sit and down. What are their favorite things? Cuddles, kisses, go out for walks, and all kinds of food/treats What do they need to work on? Coping with stress - meeting new people, vet visits, visitors in the home, etc How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? He is fine being left alone. He is calm and generally sleeps when left alone. Where do they sleep? His bed What is their ideal home? He would do best in a calm, patient home with people who understand his needs and are willing to give him the time and space to build trust and confidence. A quieter environment, with fewer visitors, would help him feel more secure as he continues to adjust. Once he feels safe, he’ll show what a genuinely wonderful, loyal boy he is.
