This handsome little guy has plenty of charm, but he also comes with a bit of an attitude that will make true terrier lovers smile in recognition. Rockwell is not a “go with the flow” kind of dog. He likes structure, clear rules, and knowing where he stands. He can exhibit resource guarding behaviors, which means he needs an experienced, adult-only home that understands canine boundaries and is committed to providing consistency and leadership. With the right person, Rockwell will thrive in an environment where expectations are clear and routines are steady. Like many Jack Russells, Rockwell is intelligent and perceptive. He bonds strongly with his people and will do best with someone who appreciates his bold personality and is willing to continue working with him using positive reinforcement and firm, fair guidance. He isn’t looking to be the center of chaos—he’s looking to be the loyal sidekick to a confident human who understands that respect goes both ways. Meet Lindor! 🧡 This sweet little guy has come such a long way. He was rescued with a group of dogs who were being kept in a metal shed and came to us pretty scared, not knowing what to think about people. But in just one month, he has blossomed more than we ever imagined! Lindor is only 12 lbs and is likely a terrier mix. He LOVES other dogs and has a blast playing with his friends. We originally required another dog in the home for him, but after spending time in one of our trusted foster homes, we think he’ll do just fine with or without a canine sibling. He adores his foster mom and is often found belly-up asking for scratches. When she picks him up and puts him back down, he jumps up asking to be held again ☺️ A fenced yard would still be a big bonus for him since he’s not the best on a leash just yet—but he’s learning and getting braver every day. ☀️ BONUS OFFER: Want to double the love? Meet Krackel, Cadbury & Lindor 🍫💛 These three sweet souls are part of a group of 10 small dogs we recently rescued from a heartbreaking situation. They spent their early lives confined to crates under a carport and inside a metal shed, with very little human interaction and no experience with leashes or life indoors. Because of that, the world is still a little scary—but their hearts are very much open. Krackel (the tiniest scruffy girl), Cadbury (a taller, gray scruffy girl), and Lindor (a white and tan Chihuahua mix boy) are all about 1.5–2 years old and under 20 lbs. Though timid at first, they want to trust. They gently approach for affection, happily accept treats, and show us every day that they’re ready to keep learning—at their pace. They are sweet, sensitive dogs who will thrive in calm, patient homes with people willing to let trust grow naturally. Once they feel safe, their affection is incredibly rewarding 💕 Their ideal home: - No young children (they’re not aggressive—just scared of loud, fast movements) - Ability to safely crate them if young kids visit - Another friendly dog to help build confidence - A quiet, secure environment - A solid fenced yard is strongly preferred - Krackel & Lindor may do okay in an apartment or townhome with very secure leash routines - Cadbury is the most fearful and truly needs a calm home with a fenced yard They are all: ✔️ Spayed/neutered ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm negative 📍 Located in Sarasota, FL 💲 Adoption fee: $300 each ***We will discount the adoption fees for anyone that takes a pair.
