I was rescued off the streets as a kitten in Kuwait (see video below). Kuwait Animal Aid rescued me and prepared all my paperwork to travel to the US. My flight was sponsored by FFFR. I traveled 30 hours in a crate to get to the US. I'm a very playful cat and love attention. I'm looking for my forever home. Hi! My name is Vita. Im a stunning Siamese mix, and while I may be beautiful on the outside, its what Ive survived that truly defines me.Not long ago, I was found in Thermal in heartbreaking condition sick, weak, and barely hanging on. The next day, I was taken to The Cat Clinic, where they discovered I had pyometra, a silent, fast-moving, and often deadly infection that affects unspayed female cats. Without emergency surgery, I wouldnt have made it.But thanks to the kindness of Sam from Traveling Paws and the amazing people at Desert Paws, I was given a second chance. They made sure I got the emergency care I needed, and I survived.Since then, Ive been recovering in a calm, loving foster home. Im still decompressing Ive been through a lot, but Im beginning to feel safe. Im shy, yes, but never aggressive. I enjoy soft pets, take treats gently, and Im slowly starting to explore my world again.My foster is still learning about me who I am, what I love. I may be soft-spoken, but Im full of heart. Im a hidden gem, just waiting for someone to see me.I need a peaceful home somewhere quiet and patient, with someone who understands that healing takes time. A retired couple, someone who works from home, or an experienced cat person who truly gets shy souls like me would be perfect.Every little step I take is a quiet act of courage.
