Story
Meet Freddy, a 3-year-old Saint Bernard mix with a heart as big as his paws. Freddy is looking for a calm, adult-only home with someone who understands the unique needs of a previous rural home. He thrives in quiet environments and needs a patient, experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and a strong bond through daily leash walks, hand-feeding, and positive reinforcement. Freddy must be the only pet in the home—no cats or small animals due to his potential for prey drive. While he may be open to meeting another calm, older dog,or younger puppy, introductions must be done slowly and in a controlled setting as he can get overwhelmed meeting new friends. A secure fenced yard is essential, or an enclosed dog run is highly recommended. Off-leash parks are not suitable for him so daily leash walks are a must. Enrollment in a basic manners or private behavior training class is required to help Freddy settle into his new life. If you have the time, space, and heart to give Freddy the second chance he deserves, he could be your perfect companion.
