You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Meet Buddy – a big guy with an even bigger heart! This lovable lug is basically a 80-pound teddy bear covered in fur, with a tail that wags like it’s powered by joy alone. Buddy is the definition of friendly: he loves people, dogs, belly rubs, and anything that remotely resembles food. He might accidentally sit on your foot (or your lap), but it’s only because he’s convinced he’s a lap dog and also your new best friend. He’s on the lookout for a forever home where he can spread his love, show off his goofy grin, and maybe snore a little too loudly during naps.   Lower Fees!  This lovely lady named Ivy, one of our Hope dogs, possesses a truly sweet nature. A 7-month-old, 57-pound St. Bernard mix, she is more than happy to offer hugs, kisses, and cuddles. While she enjoys the company of humans, she also appreciates moments of solitude. She loves playtime in the yard with other dogs. The more friends the better for this girl! Although she is still mastering the art of walking on a leash, she is a quick learner and is enthusiastic about acquiring new skills. She keeps a very tidy kennel and even has two roommates.  Do you have room in your family for a 57lb pup? Meet Marshal A Big, Handsome Softie Looking for the Right Home Marshal is a 6 1/2 YO, 90 lb male Bernedoodle. He is a loving, affectionate companion with a huge heart. He bonds deeply with his people and is happiest simply hanging out by your side. He is sweet, gentle with adults, and has an adorable, expressive face that wins everyone over. Marshal does, however, need a very specific type of home. He cannot be around children, especially small ones, and must be placed in an adults-only environment. He also has a low tolerance for frustration, and his anxiety makes him reactive. Because he is so attached to his people, he doesn’t like being left alone. He thrives in a calm, predictable home where he can feel secure. He would also do best with a fenced-in yard, where he can safely relax, explore, and burn off energy without added stress. With the right match, Marshal is an incredibly loyal, loving, and rewarding dog. He truly just wants to love and be loved.
