Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Buddy is currently in a foster home and is doing amazing! His foster family says he's a total love-bug and he has so much energy. He is learning basic training and has come such a long way! He will definitely need an active family. Buddy is super sweet and he adores everyone he meets! He is good with other dogs and he will need a fenced in yard. :) REQUIRES- Fenced Yard, Another Dog    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Hi, I'm Peach — a 9-month-old Saint Bernard mix with a striking black marking on my white face and enough energy to power a small town! 🐾 I'm a social butterfly who loves meeting new friends (dogs and kids alike), and I'm food-motivated and playful, which means training is going to be a blast. I'm still learning my leash skills and life skills, so I thrive in active homes where I can grow alongside adventurous people who don't mind a little shedding. Come meet this sweetheart and let's go on adventures together! ❤️ My adoption fee is $450. 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
The petite, poop-eating countersurfing shoe chewing fully vetted crate trained highly photogenic 9 month old female Bernese Mountain Dog puppy is ready for adoption. Naughty (naw tee) adjective def: 1. misbehaved, often referring to a child or pet 2. typical Berner puppy on a daily basis. Non-negotiables: fenced yard, another dog as role model/playmate, limited crate time during the day. People who understand the Berner personality and are willing to work with a dog who was undersocialized during her first 6 months and will need time to adjust would be ideal. She sleeps happily in her crate overnight, but is not a fan of much crate time during the day, so someone who is home during the day and who has a friendly medium to large-sized dog who loves to play would be perfect. Housebroken when taken out regularly, but regression can happen in new situations. Fully vetted including spay, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Currently weighs just under 50lbs. Will fill out slightly, but would expect her to max out at no more than 60lbs. If she weighs more than that, she's convinced you to overfeed her... Her name is Waverly and she comes when called. We have cleverly (annoyingly?) forced you to read this far to know the name of the dog whose photo captured your attention. If you live within a 2 hour radius of the Lancaster area and think that you would be a good fit, please fill out an application on our website: http://www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe's House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Oreo has become our Starr🌟 This beautiful 3 y/o girl came to us from a commercial breeder and is said to be a minibernadoodle although we recognize the Australian Shepherd similarities 🤷🏻‍♀️ She is about 32 pounds. She began her rescue journey in a foster home where a young girl named her Oreo based on her gorgeous coloring. After about three months, her foster mom recognized that their household was too busy for this baby and she wasn’t progressing as well as she could. Oreo moved to her current foster home where she became our Starr. Starr has made great strides in the last two months. She walks beautifully on a leash and seems to need her human to lead the way. Starr needs a confident pack leader who is calm and steady. She startles at loud noises and quick movements, and so a quieter, less busy home is ideal. She is hypervigilant outside and atune to all sounds. She needs a leader to let her know that she is safe now. While Starr is always close by to her foster mom, and wants to be in the mix, she is unsettled by direct eye contact and still shies away from being touched. She will allow it, and even seems to enjoy it, but she is apprehensive. She needs to be reassured that she is safe. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. House-training is a work in progress and the safer Starr feels outside, the better she gets. Starr needs a quiet home with structure and routine and a family that will allow her to grow at her own pace with gentle encouragement. Starr enjoys the company of other dogs and a confident resident dog is required in her forever home to continue to show Starr how to be a well-loved member of the family. Starr has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is prescribed medication to alleviate her anxiety which should be continued in her forever home until a doctor says otherwise. She is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A meet and greet with all family members, including furry friends, and a home visit are part of the application process. If you’re up for the challenge of winning this girl’s trust and heart, apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA

Story
Meet Roxy, a beautiful 4-year-old female Bernese Mountain Dog with a heart as big as her fluffy paws! This petite Berner has come so far since leaving behind her life as a puppy mill mama, and watching her discover the joys of simply being a dog has been incredibly rewarding. Roxy is the definition of sweet. She loves leisurely walks around the neighborhood where she can use her nose to explore and make sense of the world around her. One of our proudest moments was hearing her howl for the first time — she finally found her voice! This gentle girl loves car rides and hasn't met a dog she didn't like. She enjoys the comfort of her crate and has done wonderfully with house training, having no accidents inside. Roxy's favorite things include belly rubs, being brushed, and soaking up all the love and attention she missed out on in her earlier years. Roxy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to find a family that will cherish her for the rest of her days. Think Roxy might be the perfect addition to your family? Apply today through [Zoe's House Rescue](https://zoeshouserescue.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com). Zoe's House Rescue • Kennel #9117
