Story
Meet Willow 💗 Willow is a beautiful 7-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix with a bright mind, a playful spirit, and the sweetest heart. At about 32 pounds (likely topping out around 40), she’s the perfect medium size for both adventures and snuggles. Willow absolutely loves being outside—running, playing, and going on daily walks are some of her favorite things. She’s a smart girl who is eager to learn and already kennel trained when her humans need to step out. With her intelligence and desire to please, Willow has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and well-trained companion. She would thrive in a home with a confident older male dog—just like her buddy Max—who can show her the ropes and be her playful partner. Willow also does wonderfully with children who are old enough to play with her, and she’ll happily join in on backyard fun or family outings. Willow came to Valley Dogs when her previous family’s busy life meant they could no longer give her the time she deserved. Now she’s ready for a loving home where she can continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Because of her play style, no small dogs or cats please. If you’d like to meet this sweet, playful girl and see if she’s the missing piece to your family, please fill out an adoption interest application and contact: Paula – spwheels1@gmail.com to schedule a meet and greet. Willow is ready to bring love, laughter, and lots of tail wags to her forever home. 🐾

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ADOPTION PROCESS Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application.  Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check.  2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek).   If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Meet Rosie, Rosie is an approximately 11-year-old gentle, mellow, and goofy girl who urgently needs a forever foster. She was saved from the MCACC euthanasia list in late November 2025 by 2nd Chance Dog Rescue, and now she needs a safe, loving home where she can spend her golden years comfortable and cared for. Rosie is calm, low-energy, and incredibly easy-going. She enjoys lounging on a comfy bed, sunbathing, taking short, gentle walks, and chewing on her favorite bones. She can use a dog door on her own and even likes to sneak in a little kiss from time to time. Rosie is happy as an only dog or can live with another mellow dog with slow, proper introductions. She is potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and does well with children ages seven and up. Rosie does have some medical needs. She is hard of hearing due to lifelong ear infections, needs eye ointment twice daily for dry eye, and takes a pill twice daily for arthritis in her back legs, which is easy to give with her food. The rescue covers all of her food, supplies, and medical care. She simply needs a soft bed, love, and a calm, patient household. Rosie is not demanding or fussy—she just wants to feel safe, loved, and comfortable for the rest of her life. She has waited long enough and deserves a quiet, loving home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2026, 12:02 am

Story
Hello I am looking to rehome my 5 year old staffy bully. My wife was terminally ill for a long time and she needed to dog to keep her company while she was bed bound. Ruby is sweet and loving and incredible with kids as my grandson has grown up with her. I am rarely home and she deserves love and attention. We adopted her about 2 and she has had a litter of pups before we got her. Ruby is very reactive to other dogs on our walk and she has never been introduced to another dogs. I have had dogs my whole life and this one is amazing. She has had both of her knees repaired and bullies are prone to ACL issues. She is up to date on her shots and chipped. However I did not renew to subscription.

Story
MEET MILLIE!! Looking to add a spark of joy to your life? Millie is your girl! This smart, spunky, and affectionate pup is eager to be your next adventure buddy and loyal best friend. Millie is house-trained, crate-trained, and full of personality. She loves tennis balls, stuffed toys (especially the squeaky ones!), and playing fetch like a champ. She’s recently started casual runs with her foster dad and would thrive as a hiking or jogging partner. At home, Millie is equal parts playful and cuddly. She enjoys exploring the yard or going on walks, then curling up for some cozy couch time. She’s working on perfecting her leash skills and can get excited when spotting other dogs or rabbits—but with consistency and guidance, she’s making great progress. Millie would do best in an active home with a secure yard and no other pets. While we’re still getting to know her around younger kids, she seems best suited for families with teens and up—especially since her greetings often involve happy hops and kisses! This sweet girl has recently found her voice and likes to keep watch for visitors. She’s alert, affectionate, goofy, and deeply loyal. Millie is ready to thrive with a confident, loving owner who can give her the structure and playtime she craves. Ready to meet Millie? My name is Junior, I'm 7 years old and a HUGE (80lbs and strong) couch potato!  I am a really big guy, but I forget that...a lot! Because of that, I am best in a home with no small children. I might knock them over and not know it, but big kids would work out great!   Cats are not my favorite and I will try to chase one if I see it.  I don't really like small dogs either (because they remind me of cats), I might be ok with medium or large dogs, but would need an introduction to make sure. I like short walks around the neighborhood and short hikes are okay, as long as I am your main focus, I love attention! Even though I am 80 pounds, I will try to sit in your lap and get cozy. I really just want to find my person and lay beside them all day and have my belly rubbed! My foster mom puts me in my big crate when she goes to work and I'm okay with that. Especially because I get a treat! Let me know if you think you might be my person! If you would like to Junior, please visit our website for our adoption application, www.underdogaz.com or email info@underdogaz.comMarch 7, 2026, 4:35 pm
