Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. In 2018, San Bernardino City Shelter sent out an urgent plea, asking rescues to pick up 3 malnourished underaged pups dropped off in a bucket smelling of gasoline. All pups had chemical burns most likely from the gas. Harry was the smallest of the three and suffered the most chemical burns of all and had to spend several nights at the emergency vet in an oxygen tank on IV fluids. He then had a seizure after being released so he was on watch for the next month and miraculously, Harry survived. He grew into an affectionate bundle of energy and silliness and was adopted at about 4 mos old and renamed Riley.  Six years later, Riley's family suffered a tragedy and could no longer keep him so he is with a foster family. He is a little shy and sad to be away from his family, but he loves playing with their 4 large breed dogs and is having a great time! He grew up around kids and other dogs of all sizes and does great with both.He prefers a home with at least one other friendly, playful dog to keep him company. Story
GREYCIE Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Large (41-70 lbs.) | 10 months old/ Female-Spayed  | Accepting Applications for Adoption I am Greycie (please read my 411) I am 10 months young, still an eager to please puppy. I’m a fan of all dogs big and small…I have not been introduced to felines, so not sure how I would be around them. Children are my absolute favorite. I adjust my energy to the little ones and I’m gentle with them. I enjoy my daily walks with my Foster Dad and the pack members. There are so many new smells to explore. My current backyard is the coolest. I run zoomies and jump as high as I can over the walkway to show off my skills. I also have found my special spot on the couch where I nap while my Foster Fam watches the big screen in the living room. It has also been rumored I am potty trained, not one accident inside. Yay me!!! I am a polite girl and love my meals. My Foster Dad quickly found out that chicken was not my favorite, but beef definitely was!! (Where’s the Beef?) My Foster family has kept me very social by including me in daily errands and trips to the mall. My favorite stops are In-n-out for a pup patty and Starby’s for a pup cup. Other exciting news is my Foster fam has enrolled me in classes where I learn commands like sit, stay & focus. If you ask me, I think I’m gonna ace this!!! If you think I am your kinda gal and would complete your family, please go to website below and submit an adoption application. Someone will reach out to you and ask you some preliminary questions. A home check is also required. If a Lady named Eva contacts you, she really loves me and may ask a few more questions, please bear with her. She’s actually very nice. I am already spayed, weigh about 55 lbs, fully vaccinated, and microchipped plus a three month flea and tick treatment dose to keep unwanted friends off me (bonus)   Thanks in advance, Greycie Please visit our website if you would like to submit an adoption application.  Greycie's Adoption Donation Fee is $400.  Greycie  is spayed, current on all vaccinations has received a wellness exam, flea treatment, and is microchipped. Story
Sunny is a spunky young American Bully or Staffy mix, no more than 2 years old. He was found abandoned but is in good health. Temperament-wise, he is such a love bug with people once he knows you and has been asking for more pets as the days go on. He is more tolerant of women than men but he warms up to them. He's fully crate trained him; he sleeps in it overnight. He is dog reactive so he currently needs to be the only dog. Sunny is looking for a loving forever home!!

Story
#A5679990 Meet Diesel, a 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with a big, strong build and the cutest marshmallow-dipped muzzle paired with striking baby blue eyes! Diesel is the perfect mix of affectionate and adventurous – he’s always up for excitement as long as he can stay close by your side, and he’s just as happy to snuggle up and relax after your adventures together. His bright, bubbly personality will bring so much joy to your life, and he’s sure to keep you smiling every day! Diesel is still a young pup, so he could use a little more training, especially with leash work and other basics, but he’s eager to learn and will be the best companion with the right guidance. If you’re ready to be delighted with a fun, loving, and playful friend, Diesel is your guy!  2 year old tan and white Staffordshire Terrier 76 pound neutered male Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Diesel did catch a little doggy cold, which the shelter is already treating, so he will need to be adopted on a health waiver - adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 2/17/25 as a stray Big strong boy, with the cutest marshmallow dipped muzzle and striking baby blue eyes Perfect mix of affectionate and adventurous - always ready for excitement with you, as long as he can stay close by your side, and equally happy to snuggle up and relax after adventures too!  Incredibly playful, with a bright, bubbly personality that is sure to bring joy to your life  Barely into his teen years, Diesel could use a bit more training to be his best self, especially with leash work and other basics - would benefit from a strong handler   DIESEL’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/iGtpAANFaZ4   For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
#A5680804 Piglet is a wide eyed shy girl who needs a slow approach to gradually build trust, and her time in the shelter has been very challenging since the volunteers have not been able to get her out much. She urgently needs out to fully recover from an upper respiratory infection that has been keeping her out of public view for weeks. After such a stressful stay here she needs lots of patience and time to relax. We are hoping for a rescue or an experienced adopter to find her and see that she has potential and deserves a chance.  - very stressed in the kennel environment, she does not show well and is barrier reactive - skeptical of the leash and new people, once she feels comfortable and safe she is better on leash and will follow along with a trusted handler - tolerates being carried when she does not feel safe walking on leash - being treated for an upper respiratory infection and will need to continue her antibiotics until at least 3/30 - brown brindle and white coat, with a smoosh face and natural floppy ears - short stack looks like she might have Bulldog in her family tree, and the shelter listed her as a staffordshire - the Care Center is recommending an adults only home and no other dogs as she is so shy and reactive - about 2 years and 37 pounds - came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on February 20, 2025 - spayed and ready to go home!      PIGLET’S VIDEO (Instagram): https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHjZgXcSqJw/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ%3D%3D For more information, contact volunteer Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/    Use their unique ID NUMBER.
