This handsome guy is great on a leash, and he loves nothing more than to get out and walk or run with you. Dodger is not a fan of being left home alone while you’re out having adventures (or you know, working) so someone with a flexible schedule will be the best match. Dodger needs to be an only dog with a homeowner that is dog experienced. A fenced in yard will be safest for Dodger, and he wouldn’t mind possibly living with some older children (6+ years old)   Dodger’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations plus a free obedience class at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. This energetic boy dreams of a home with a large yard for ample exercise. He has an insatiable love for walks, always ready to set out on an adventure.  Steele's rough and tumble play style can be overwhelming for young kids and smaller pets, but a companion of similar size and energy would be wonderful. Steele will thrive with a patient and experienced owner who is committed to enrichment, regular walks and helping him channel his energy productively. Steele is potty trained, trusted to not be kenneled in his current foster home, and already knows basic commands such as sit and shake. Steele is food motivated and eager to learn and please! 'Piper is believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves to run, play, and explore. She is looking for a new home where she can be the only pet, as she has a strong prey drive and will chase small animals. Piper is great with adults and enjoys being around people. While she has limited experience with children, there are no known issues, though proper introductions are always recommended. She thrives with an active family who can give her plenty of playtime, exercise, and affection. While she enjoys attention, she is also independent and comfortable entertaining herself at times. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, and leave it, and does very well leaving food alone when told. Piper is not destructive when left alone, though she’s happiest when she has a bone or chew to keep her occupied.  Curious by nature, Piper loves to investigate everything around her and would do best with owners who understand and appreciate her energy and personality. Piper is 2 years of age, spayed, healthy and current on all vaccinations. We do not know much about the first year of her life as was found wandering in the St. Louis area last winter. We believe the way she behaves around older women that perhaps her owner passed away and she was just let go.
