Story
Meet Mocha, the mild mannered sweetheart! Mocha is a stunning girl with a rich brown coat that shimmers in the sunlight and eyes that seem to speak straight to your heart. At first glance, she carries herself with quiet reservation, but give her time and you’ll start to see the gentle smile that lives just beneath the surface. We believe that Mocha is a Pittie mix that is around 2 years old! Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But with a face like hers, all the specifics pale in comparison. Watch Mocha’s video to see her gentle nature shine! https://youtu.be/KMJMVIHNiIg This shy girl is learning that the world can be kind. At first, she may stand back, taking in her surroundings and the people around her, but as her confidence grows, so does her energy. Mocha has taken trips to Lowe’s with her foster mommy and rides calmly in the car, watching the world with quiet curiosity. She responds well to structure and is comforted by routine. After a burst of play, she walks herself to her crate, ready to rest with the same steady calm she brings to all things. When meeting other dogs, Mocha is careful and composed. She gives respectful greetings, shows interest, and moves at her own pace. She avoids conflict naturally, choosing space and stillness when things feel overwhelming. Even when another dog pushes her boundaries, she responds gracefully. Her ideal canine companion would be a calm, easygoing dog, someone with a mellow energy who will give her space to feel comfortable. Mocha has also done well with cats. Her approach is measured and polite. She observes without chasing, stays calm in their presence, and doesn’t seek to overwhelm. A home with a dog-savvy, calm cat would be a lovely fit for her gentle spirit. Mocha hasn’t lived with small children, but her temperament suggests she could do well in a home with respectful kids who are gentle and kind. Since she hasn't spent much time around young children, we are happy to introduce her to any age kiddo you may have in your life! We want to make sure she is perfect for your family! She is affectionate in her own time, not rushing into laps but never turning away kindness either. She accepts touch softly and seems to understand when someone is offering love. She enjoys the sunshine on her back, peaceful moments in the yard, and the quiet comfort of simply being near the people she is learning to trust. Mocha is the kind of dog who opens up little by little, each day revealing a little more of the beauty inside her. She doesn’t ask for much, just a home with a slower pace, a routine she can count on, and people who will show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Has this gentle soul peaked your interest? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6824ffb27263d460140c5f16 Questions? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Suki the social cutie… there is no better way to sum her up! This girl showed up and literally had everyone squalling over her wrinkly little legs and adorable face! She is pocket size and perfectly itty-bitty, giving house hippo charm with a side of perfect piggy. When she walks her whole body slinks along, slow and steady. To be honest she doesn’t have a fast-mode, so if you live life in a rush ,Suki is only going to make you late. But if you are looking for a perfect homebody companion…here she is! We believe that Suki is an bulldog/pittie mix, somewhere in that pocket bully range and her age is estimated to be around 4 years old. She currently weighs 41 lbs and we expect her weight to settle in around 44-50 lbs. She is always going to be giving short and squatty. Things this girl will never be called- shy or anti-social, this girl can work a room and is truly driven by wanting to greet everyone. She isn’t pushy about it, I have only seen her make a tiny hop in an attempt to get someones attention once and they were tall so I think she wasn’t sure if they could even see her down there. Once she makes a connection, if they offer any kind of scratches (ears, belly, booty…) then she is coming in for more and will become a puddle at your feet or in your lap in 2.5 seconds. That move is only followed by a more forward snuggle cuddle. She is an affectionate little thing! When Suki was introduced to other dogs it was easy to see, she is polite but dogs are something she could take or leave. She was perfectly good company, unbothered and easy-going but this is a dog that is here for the people. Being someones one-and-only dog would be her dream and we have no doubt she would thrive! Kitties are welcome though, from what we have seen, she doesn’t even pay them much mind. Thanks to her quiet and calm nature, Suki could easily be an apartment girlie. Potty breaks and a few free pets would be perfect for her. Plus, Suki is house and crate trained and loves car rides! Suki met a 4 and 5 year old on the afternoon we spent together and she slid right into the mix. She was great with the kids but there only complaint would have been that she played on top of their building blocks. She just wanted their attention! Her calm almost lazy nature might be a bit boring for little ones looking for a playmate/ adventure buddy. Older kids or even a kid free home with occasional guest kiddos would be perfect. Suki is an absolute cutie and is ready for her fur-ever. You may have to give her a little boost onto the couch sometimes but once she is there, she is going to be there for a good long nap, snort-like-snores practically guaranteed. Ready for Suki love? We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Thumbellina Fairy Tale! She is currently 6 weeks old, and we think she may be a Staffordshire / Pit Bull mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Thumbellina's video here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cenD9MuguzU&feature=youtu.be Thumbellina is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Thumbellina is living her best puppy life right now - all she needs is YOU! Thumbellina is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Thumbellina new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/681d9aad300215bf06089478 Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1200.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone.
