He is Estimated to be around 1 year old and looks very much like a Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix, What we know for certain thanks to his dedicated foster parents is that he is a well-loved, well-trained young dog currently thriving in his foster home where he has built an impressive foundation of manners, training, and adaptability. Zuko lives in an apartment and has proven himself to be both house and crate trained. His foster family has invested a lot of time into training and it shows. He knows multiple commands, enjoys learning, and takes pride in getting things right. While he's certainly active and playful, he also understands how to settle into home life and be a respectful house mate. One of his foster mom's favorite things about him is their running routine Zuko happily joins her on regular runs and seems incredibly proud of himself when they're out together. Every so often he'll reach over and offer a quick little lick on her leg, as if to say, "Thanks for bringing me along. This is awesome." It's one of those small moments that perfectly captures how connected and appreciative he is to his people. When it comes to people, Zuko’s philosophy is simple- “Friends everywhere! Did they bring their dogs?” He greets new people with an open, happy attitude and quickly wins fans with his affectionate nature. Men, women, visitors, strangers, everyone seems to be a potential new best friend in Zuko’s world but they will absolutely become second fiddle if dogs are around. Dogs or no dogs- de loves attention, enjoys being included, and handles new environments and everyday commotion with confidence. One thing that makes Zuko especially unique is that he currently shares his home with pet rabbits. He has learned to respectfully coexist with them and has shown appropriate manners around them in the home environment. Cats, however, are a different story. During a recent visit with us outside of his foster home he was introduced to our house cat and whether it was simply his established playful love of play or not, it was easy to see that he might be a bit overwhelming for a cat to welcome into their home. In other words, a bunny free home is a possibility but a cat-free home would be best. Dogs are where Zuko truly shines. He is a regular at the dog park, frequently joins his foster family on visits with friends who have dogs, and genuinely loves canine companionship. If there is another dog nearby, Zuko would very much like to meet them immediately and preferably start playing five minutes ago. His ideal canine companion is confident, playful, and physically sturdy enough to appreciate his rough-and-tumble play style. Zuko plays like a dog whose internal soundtrack is permanently set to "adventure montage." He wrestles, bounces, body-checks, play bows, and generally approaches playtime with the enthusiasm of a dog who believes every interaction should be as fun and animated as possible. Because of his size and play style, we are recommending dogs over 25 pounds who enjoy active play and won't be overwhelmed by his exuberance. Like many young dogs, Zuko is still polishing some of his social skills. He can be pushy during play and sometimes needs reminders about respecting the other dog's boundaries. The good news is that he is social, resilient, and eager to engage. We think he would thrive with a confident adult dog who enjoys play but can also help teach him when it's time to take a breather. He also happens to be a fantastic fetch partner. Zuko loves chasing after a ball and bringing it back, but his favorite part may actually be found mid-fetch with his signature squeaky- celebration. What this looks like? Well he'll grab his prized ball, trot off with it for a quiet moment and then immediately begin squeaking and prancing in double time. It’s practically like he is giving a little thank-you speech for the excellent game and absolute joy that a squeaky ball brings. Zuko would love an active family that enjoys including their dog in daily adventures, walks, outings, training sessions, and plenty of opportunities for play. Apartment living has already proven successful for him, provided he receives the exercise, enrichment, and social interaction that keep his busy mind and happy spirit satisfied. And while Zuko can absolutely keep up with an active lifestyle, he also has an incredibly endearing soft side. One of his favorite things is being tucked in under a blanket where he can settle in for a light snore. Actually, they are the sweetest little pittie-pig snores imaginable! They say luck comes in flashes by way of four leaf clovers, falling stars, or a heads up penny on the street. But sometimes, luck has four paws, a slow wag, an old soul wrapped in fur, and the softest most soulful eyes you have ever seen. If you've been waiting for a sign, this is it! Clover is the luckiest girl with a soul so gentle and loving. If you're looking for a furry friend to keep you company, provide a sense of warmth and fullness with snuggles, and a calming presence to fill your home with, look no further because Clover is the companion dog of your dreams. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Clover is dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced her too. Her "old soul" personality even showed it self when meeting new dogs. She would greet the other dogs and then would go off and do her own thing, find a spot to lay in the grass and bask in the sun, or she was off getting affection by the people in the yard. She mets a handful of dogs, all with different personalities and even met some wild younger playful dogs and was even tolerant of their youthfulness. Clover also met a young fluffy dog approximately 15lbs that is a playful happy-go lucky guy and she did great with him too. She is not a playful lady with other dogs, she gives off more of the laid back chill hangout type of vibes. So when she is around dogs that are all about play, have a more rowdy play style and try to engage in play with her, she will give them a very subtle "hey, I'm not the playful type" kind of boundary correction to those dogs and then she goes on about her business. Which is for the most part, hanging out in the yard and enjoying the fresh air. She doesn't mind if dogs are playing around her having a good time, she is just the type that isn't interested in playing. In a home, Clover would be best placed with a dog that has the same temp as her. A dog (big or small) that enjoys the company of other dogs, isn't wanting a playmate or interested in playing with other dogs, and will respect that Clover isn't a playful lady. She would also do great as your one and only too if you don't have other dogs. She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable with other dogs or to fulfill her energy needs. She is a loving gal all on her own and she is a very calm and mellow lady. Clover has also spent time with our house cat Biggie and she did great with him. She wasn't phased by him running around, playing with his kitty toys, causing a ruckus the way cats do, and was completely comfortable sharing the same space with him. We do not know if Clover has ever lived in a home with a cat before nor can we guarantee that things won't change once in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions that Clover has the potential to live harmoniously with a dog-savvy kitty. Clover is crate trained and potty trained and has shown us that she has wonderful house manners. You probably have already come to the conclusion that she is couch potato and is a relaxed lady that does not need endless amounts of mental stimulation or hours worth of exercise. Clover is perfectly content lounging around at home cuddled up on your couch, your bed, or even your lap. She would be a great dog to have around if you work from home, or if you're retired and looking for a companion. She is quiet and isn't the type that is overly needy about wanting affection. She falls right in the middle, a happy medium. Clover is not going to bother you while you're working from home, she will simply provide moral support with her presence and then will be there waiting for you for when you need to take a break and need some Clover loving. Clover would thrive in a home with a backyard because of her love to be outside. She loves lounging around in the grass and sunbathing, moseying around the yard smelling all the smell, and enjoying the fresh air. She's an easy lady to walk on a leash and would enjoy leisurely walks around the neighborhood as well. I can also see her being dog that will keep you company while you're gardening and will lay by your feet while you drink your morning coffee out on the patio. We have not seen her with kids just yet but based off what we have seen so far, we do believe she would make a great family dog for a family that has 1-2 kids ages 8 and up. She has the potential of being a great snuggly buddy with you kids and a great listening ear for them. Bebe will do best in a home where she is the only dog. She is very sweet and loving with humans, but can be shy at first. She has a ton of playful energy and would benefit from formal training. No separation anxiety.

Duke Ellington is basically what would happen if pure serotonin came to life in dog form. This boy is ALL smiles, all wiggles, all happiness all the time. The type of dog that wakes up every morning genuinely excited to be alive and makes sure everyone around him feels the same way too LOL. Between his goofy bouncy personality, giant happy grin, and the way he throws his whole body into loving people, Duke has this larger-than-life presence that is impossible not to fall for. He’s playful, affectionate, hilariously expressive, and just has that lovable goofy-boy energy that keeps you constantly entertained. Honestly, he feels less like a dog and more like your overly enthusiastic best friend trapped in a pittie body. And yes, his name is Duke Ellington for a reason because this boy fully believes he has a singing career ahead of him and is more than willing to bless you with his dramatic little opera performances whenever the mood strikes LOL. This is not a “cool independent guy that keeps to himself” type of dog LOL. Duke is affectionate, people-oriented, and thrives on attention, companionship, and being included in whatever his humans are doing. He’s the type of dog that wants to greet you like you just returned home from war after a quick trip to the mailbox. Honestly, one of the best things about Duke is how genuinely HAPPY he is all the time. This boy walks through life with a giant smile plastered across his face and this goofy joyful energy that is impossible not to feed off of. He also fully believes he is a lap dog despite being 50 lbs and will absolutely try to get as close to you as physically possible whenever given the opportunity LOL. Whether he’s leaning against you, climbing halfway into your lap, or dramatically flopping next to you on the couch, Duke just wants to love and be loved as hard as he can. Duke is also dog friendly and is currently fostered in a multi-dog household with dogs all ranging in sizes and personalities. His foster says that he LOVES to play and definitely has more of that goofy, rowdy, rough-and-tumble play style. The type of dog that is happiest bouncing around the yard playing chase, wrestling, and fully embracing his giant goofy puppy energy. Because of that, he’ll do best with dog friends that enjoy an active playful style and won’t be overwhelmed by his enthusiasm. He truly just seems so happy to have friends to romp around with and be part of the fun. No need to worry about your home turning into a 24/7 doggy daycare with round the clock play time either. Duke does know when to take play breaks and will take play breaks on his own. He actually has a pretty nice energy about him and will adapt to whatever you need from him. One of the best things about Duke is honestly just how HAPPY he is. Everything about him feels joyful. The giant smile. The bouncy body language. On leash, Duke can pull out of pure excitement because the world is exciting for him sometimes LOL, so continued leash work will definitely help him polish up his manners even more. Duke’s ideal home would be with a semi-active family that wants a dog to truly be part of everyday life and appreciates a BIG personality in the home LOL. A backyard is definitely important for this guy because he needs space to zoom around, play, burn energy, and occasionally perform one of his famous “concerts” for the neighborhood. Duke fully believes he is part husky, part Broadway performer, and has absolutely no problem sharing his opinions, feelings, and dramatic commentary through hilarious opera-style vocals. Bond is estimated to be about 2 years old and appears to be a pittie-type mix with a sharp black-and-white “tuxedo” look that really does give him leading-man energy. As always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. From the moment we met Bond, his personality and happy energy made an impression. His tail was wagging so fast it was practically a blur and his little feet were tapping with excitement to say hello. He’s a people-oriented guy who clearly enjoys connection, and he settles into any space with friendly curiosity and a warm, welcoming presence. Bond already comes with a couple of charming built-in tricks too. Ask for a sit and he’ll happily offer it. Ask for a shake and he’ll deliver that polite paw like a true gentleman. It’s a simple little combo, but it melts hearts every time. On leash, Bond has the basics down but is still polishing it up and he will naturally benefit from continued practice and guidance. He checks in with his person often and he responds nicely to correction and direction which shows that he’s a smart boy who wants to work with his person. With dogs Bond is friendly and curious meeting new dogs both on and off leash. He’s still figuring out the language of play and when the other dogs started romping around he is happy to just tag along.. At times he will bounce nearby or run alongside like he wanted to join the fun but wasn’t quite sure how yet. With a calm, easygoing dog companion, especially a medium or lower-energy female, we know his social and playful side will shine. Bond showed us all a sweet, affectionate side that really looks best on a cozy couch. Once invited onto the couch he turns into a puddle of love. He leans into attention and enjoys spending time close by his people. That gentle, people-loving nature makes it easy to picture him settling happily into family life. Bond could do well in a house with a yard or a quieter apartment setting where he can relax and settle in comfortably. Most of all, he’s looking for people who will appreciate his sweet nature, his cheerful spirit, and of course… that very impressive sit-and-shake.
