Story
Age: 4 years Size: 55 lbs Estimated breed: Staffordshire bull terrier/Mountain cur mix   Mama Zainab was found living on a chain in South Carolina, nursing five babies off her emaciated body. One puppy unfortunately didn't make it, but we were able to save the remaining four puppies and placed them into foster care. Zainab is now also safe with us in foster care and looking for her own forever home!    Zainab is around 4 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She is a sweet and gentle girl who clearly has never lived inside a home before. She was perplexed by the television in her foster home and walked right into the sliding glass doors. She is learning just how nice indoor living is and picks up quickly! She walks nicely on leash without pulling and loves meeting new people.    Zainab injured her eye while living on the chain, and her former owner never pursued medical treatment. She was seen by our ophthalmologist, who advised that while she is totally blind in one eye, it causes her no pain or discomfort, so no treatment is needed! She is heartworm positive and will receive treatment with the rescue.     After everything she's been through, Mama Z deserves to find a perfect forever home, and we are committed to finding one for her!    To adopt Zainab, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366May 1, 2024, 2:43 pm

Story
Hope is… so appropriately named. When you first meet Hope, she shows off her timid side, but only for a few minutes. Despite her ever wagging tail, she will make herself small in size until she can no longer contain her inquisitive mind and affectionate heart. Full of courage and love, she quickly transforms herself into a complete and total clown (you will forever have a smile on your face). Once she settles in and unleashes her goofy, larger than life personality, you begin to feel… well, the joy is equivalent to the joy you felt over finding the in-box cereal prize before someone else did. Or… the way you feel when you get a hole in one at the end of a competitive game of golf.  So what is Hope made of? Happy zoomies Spin as fast as she can circles Tossing her toys into the air Back and belly scratches make her weak in the knees Athleticism - girls got great muscles ♥ Short, stout and absolutely adorable Affectionate with a gentle spirit It’s easy to tell she is going to completely adore her ‘person’ and will truly love being a part of a family. What is Hope working on? Building additional confidence on leash and learning about new experiences Car rides are still a little scary for this compact little lady, so she’s getting extra practice while her foster family runs to activities  www.mostlymuttz.org Great with dogs, children Could be cat tested if needed Fenced in yard not required 95% house trained Crate trained (and quiet while crated) #mostlymuttzrescue #hope #staffordshirebullterrierlovers #adoptable #sillygirl #zoomieextraordinaire #shybutworthit Hope is being fostered in Exeter (Berks County), Pennsylvania).
