Story
Hope is… so appropriately named. When you first meet Hope, she shows off her timid side, but only until she becomes comfortable. While she is timid at first meet, she is never mean.  With her ever wagging tail and happy dances, she will really steal your heart.  Hope has an inquisitive mind, ridiculously funny spirit and affectionate heart. Full of love for life, she is often a complete and total clown (you will forever have a smile on your face).  Once she settles in and unleashes her goofy, larger than life personality, you'll know you've hit the lottery with this girl.  Hope is a quiet girl in general - her foster has never heard her bark.  The only sound she has ever made is some quiet whining while crated if she needs to go to the bathroom. So what is Hope made of? Happy zoomies Spin as fast as she can circles Tossing her toys into the air Back and belly scratches make her weak in the knees Athleticism - girls got great muscles ♥ Short, stout and absolutely adorable Affectionate with a gentle spirit It’s easy to tell she is going to completely adore her ‘person’ and will truly love being a part of a family. What is Hope working on? Building additional confidence on leash and learning about new experiences (She only pulls when she is nervous of a loud noise (such as a bus going by) or is startled by something unexpected Car rides are still a little scary for this compact little lady, so she’s getting extra practice while her foster family runs to activities  www.mostlymuttz.org Great with dogs, children Could be cat tested if needed Fenced in yard not required 90% house trained  Crate trained (and quiet while crated) #mostlymuttzrescue #hope #staffordshirebullterrierlovers #adoptable #sillygirl #zoomieextraordinaire #shybutworthit Hope is being fostered in Exeter (Berks County), Pennsylvania). Interested in meeting Hope in person? Hope is scheduled to attend the following events: 5/4/2024 @ 10:00am: Humane Pa’s 47th Annual Walk for Animals, 1216 Hilltop Road Leesport, Pa 19533 ((Follow our FB page at: https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz  for event updates and/or weather related cancellations. Story
Bella is a 7 year old spayed English Stafford Terrier.  She is housetrained and is a wonderful companion. Bella has the stamina to enjoy a long hike or walk, but only requires a few short walks a day.  She can be incredibly fast!  When she needs to get energy out she relies on her zoomies, where she will run at top speed for about 3 minutes, and then she is tired out and content.  She loves to be around people and is a low maintenance dog who can curl up on a dog bed for hours on end.  She can be a bit nervous and timid in certain situations.  While fetch is not her thing, she loves to play with dog bones or dog toys.  She is a lover and gives an inordinate amount of licks.  Bella successfully finished a board and train program in 2021. She is a smart dog and has mastered her basic skills.  Bella sometimes spends time at doggie daycare, where she is great with other dogs and is a favorite of the staff.  Bella has been part of a loving family and is well cared for and up to date on her vetting.  She is not a barker, but will bark if someone is at the door or if she perceives a threat.   Bella can be a bit protective.  Her family is expanding and while she is very good with their children, the little ones have been making her nervous and her family has realized that she would do much better in a different environment, in a quieter home.   Her ideal home would have a fenced yard for her to roam in and lie in the sun.   Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@Yahoo.cim( for more information or an application. Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US!  We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php and http://www.hollysden.com/say_no_to_shock.htm (scroll down and click on the  "Invisible Fencing Systems" link). We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2024, 9:34 pm

Story
Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Funny, Athletic, Loves Kisses Kiano is a high energy adolescent pup who was found in an emaciated state with a broken tail tied to a park bench in South Philly in March 2023. After an intense re-feeding program and a tail amputation as well as all of his other medical care, Kiano began to shine! He has mastered “potty bells” and knows to ring them to let his humans know he needs to go out. He has learned basic commands and how to socialize with other dogs and a cat. He is still working on leash manners but is making strides. He still has some puppy dog mouthy behaviors to work on but is an eager student. Like most young dogs, he is high energy and up for all kinds of fun! He is looking for a home where he can continue to grow and master behaviors to be his best well mannered self! He loves balls, sprinklers and playing with other dogs! Please fill out our Adoption Application. Once you are approved to adopt, a time to meet Kiano can be arranged with his foster!

Story
Hey there! The names Moose, nice to meet you! I love being around people and making new friends, I'm what they call a social butterfly. As much as I love making new friends I'm also what they call a couch potato! So if you're looking for a pup that can be lazy some days and adventurous the next, I am your man! I hear pictures can add 10lbs, in my case they don't do my size justice. I'm a big boy, almost 100 lbs of pure love! Don't let my size scare you, I'm a big baby. If you have room in your heart (and bed) for a fella like me, give my friends a call! The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, PA Kennel License #02941, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042
