Story
Hello! My name is Jema. I'm 3 years old, spayed and up to date on my vaccines. I'm as sweet as can be, all I want from my future adopter is lots of belly rubs and kisses! I'm leash trained, potty trained, very good left alone inside of a home- I understand you have to go to work every now and then so you can afford to buy me lots and lots of toys!! I love to swim, go on car rides and nature walks... but I really prefer to sleep on the couch all day... While I'm non-reactive in public, I do have to be the only pet in the household. I've gone through a lot in my life and would just really like my home base to be my own. I hope that's okay! Please reach out via email or phone so I can meet you and give you lots of kisses!

Story
Hi! This is Penny Lane. She is about 4.5-5yo in early 2024 and was adopted from SA Pets Alive in March 2020 (right before the Covid shutdown). Penny Lane is an indoor dog, spayed and chipped and on Simparica for heartworm/fleas/ticks. She's house trained and crate trained for meals, overnight, and when we aren't home. Penny has Trazodone as needed for anxiety, but we can bathe her and do her nails with no issues. She was a stray who had also been abused, and due to circumstances out of our control her anxiety has gotten too much for us to handle (financial situation, son got diagnosed with a medical condition, etc). She loves her best pal Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds whom we are also rehoming due to similar issues, but otherwise does not like other animals at all and will try to get aggressive to protect "her humans." We were attacked by a stray right after we got her which heightened this anxiety. She's funny and smart and we hope she can stay w/ Lucy! Thank you for checking her out!

Story
Ink just turned 1 year on April 12, 2024. He belonged to my grandson, who has since moved into an apartment and can't keep him. He's a sweet dog, eager to please. He is housebroken, crate trained, walks on a loose leash with verbal reminders. He will sit for treats. He's good with other dogs and cats. He loves to run and play. He's a quick learner if you use treats. We are seniors and don't have the time or the energy to give him the attention he needs.

Story
We got Hilde (short for Brunhilda) in the summer of 2023 from SA Pets Alive as a foster dog. After a few weeks we realized that she was wonderful and decided to keep her. Hilde is great with kids, amazing with cats and chickens, and is an all around good house pooch also she is very energetic and can go on multiple mile runs with my wife and I, and can play fetch for hours. Furthermore she is well trained and can understand sit, lay down, stay, come, and will wait for your command to eat or enter / exit doors. Unfortunately we are entering a new phase in our life and don't think we can continue with our little Hilde as we go into it :-(. What we are looking for in a new home is someone who has had dogs before and preferable someone who already has a dog in their house. Hilde is a rescue and she has anxiety. This manifests in difficulty being alone in a crate (or at home) and difficulty going to dog parks (without a dog friend).

Story
Zoey is 10 years old who is the dog version of Garfield. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves to sun bathe and just curl up next to you. She thinks that she is a small dog as you gets scared around dogs her size but loves playing with smaller dogs. The lady I got her from had smaller dogs so that is why. She is a great dog to have around. I have currently been promoted at my job and it involves traveling more on weekends and long hours during the week making it hard for me to spend time with her. She does have some separation anxiety so I can not leave her out why I'm at work. So I want to find her a home that would have the time for her so she isn't stuck in her crate.

Story
Jude is 14 years old. I got him as an emaciated puppy when a stranger from my neighborhood asked if I wanted him, otherwise he planned on just letting him die. He has been a loving and loyal companion. He has traveled around the US a lot, including lots of camping and hiking. Jude is a sensitive dog. He loves to cuddle on the couch, and go on walks. When it’s sunny out he likes to lay in a patch of sun. He’s good with cats, and dogs that are smaller than him. He barks when people arrive at the house, but he’s not aggressive. Though, he can be intimidating to strangers if you want him to be a bit of a guard dog.
