Story
Gucci is a beautiful strong 5 year old. He is very loyal and loving. He is a lover of water and is stimulated by the water hose. The perfect home would be near a lake, river, or beach. Gucci loves to walk or run so an active person(s) or family with older children would be right up his alley. He isn't a fan of other dogs or cats so he would benefit from being the only pet in the household. Give this snuggle bug his furever home. ##1503107##

** Note: Bristol is not with Saving Great Animals but is a courtesy post for one of our rescue partners. If you are interested in Bristol, please contact them directly at: pacnwk9@gmail.com ** Meet Bristol, the Energetic Snuggler! Bristol is a lively and playful dog with an endless supply of energy and love. Bristol loves to snuggle and will happily sleep by your side whenever you want him to. His favorite activities include walks around the neighborhood, a couple of miles through parks, hikes, or romping around an off-leash dog park where he can make new friends and explore to his heart's content. Despite his energetic nature, Bristol isn't a fan of long-distance running because his hips get sore after a couple of miles. He prefers the comfort of home and the company of his favorite humans. His charming personality and affectionate nature make him the perfect companion for cozy evenings and weekend adventures. Bristol also has great recall skills, making him a joy to have off-leash. Bristol enjoys chewing on bones and tough rubber-based toys, showing off his strength and determination. Anything else he gets his paws on, he can happily shred in minutes, if not seconds! His boundless enthusiasm and loyalty make every moment spent with him a cherished memory. Bristol is fully trained and comes with five private lessons from his trainers to ensure everyone have a smooth transition into his new home. Come meet Bristol, and get ready to be enchanted by his playful spirit and warm cuddles! We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Dom is such a sweet boy who needs a forever home to lay his head. He is a Staffy/German Shepherd mix (with DNA results to prove it!) and he is 70lbs but needs to lose about 15-20lbs. Dom has sooo many amazing qualities! He is affectionate and LOVES a good snuggle on the couch. He will also do fine while you are at work! He is fine free roaming the home but is also crate trained. He is an independent man and will self entertain. He loves to play ball, go swimming, go for walks, play frisbee and he even likes to be groomed! Dom does need a quiet home, older children (teenagers) would be fine. He needs just a few minutes to warm up to new people and then he will be your forever friend! He does fine with both women and men. He needs to be the only pet in the home but he does fine with fowl. He will alert bark if you are looking for a protector for you home. :) A fenced in yard will be required. KARE staff has certified trainers that will be here to help Dom's transition into his new home. Adopters must live in Kitsap County.

Story
Animal Profile: Sea Otters are described as intelligent, goofy, curious, gregarious and they are undeniably on the shortlist of most adorable animals. This land Otter is the same, for all of the above! Otter is an estimated 2-year-old, 50 lb Staffordshire Terrier who originally came into the overcrowded Stockton, California animal shelter as a stray in October.  Upon first arriving in Seattle, he was lacking manners and unable to understand boundaries. With the help from his foster mom and local trainer Gina Cooley of Double Down Dog Training, he's made amazing progress! Otter comes with a 5 week Board and Train under his belt so he is very well trained - he is house and crate trained, is a perfect gentleman on leash and is friendly with both dogs and people. He is fairly independent when it comes to other dogs, does not have a strong interest in playing. He loves long leisurely walks, squeaky toys and a soft place to nap - in that order. He is also very food motivated! True to the bully breed, he can be pushy in play with toys and will need an owner with experience to help him manage. Otter has been friendly with kids, but he is looking for a home without them due to his behavior prior to training. He also needs a family committed to upholding his training so he can continue to be a squishy faced gentleman! Apply today to learn more about his handsome mug! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Stockton, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 1/18/2024. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.      November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Porter is a 2-year-old, 34 lb terrier mix that found himself in need of rescue when he wound up in Caddo Parish. This sweet boy has mange, and was receiving treatment from a wonderful shelter volunteer. He’s patient and gentle, and deserving of a second chance. Foster Update: Have you seen this face?! Porter is a hunky little dude with a heart as big as his head. He is social, friendly, and loves a good snuggle on the sofa. Porter is currently in foster care with other dogs, a cat, and kiddos and he does great with everyone. His ideal home would be someone who doesn’t mind snoring, shares snacks, and moves over for the best spot on the sofa.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana via Tail Lights Rescue Project. He will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. December 6, 2024, 11:12 am
