Story
Poppy is a brindle babe with an adorable underbite, a signature happy hop, and a suspiciously high IQ when it comes to “toy (de)construction.” She’s estimated to be around 5 years old, weighs about 64 lbs, and our best guess is a boxer/pittie mix (with the usual rescue disclaimer we can’t promise breed or birthday, but personality? We got that!). Want to see Poppy’s hop, underbite grin, and expert-level stuffy work in action? Head to YouTube for “Poppy | Happy-Hop Brindle Babe” https://youtu.be/oVaVj1uh1qk Poppy leads with a softly reserved vibe, the kind that says, “I like to check your vibe before I call you a bestie.” Give her a minute to connect, offer a little play, and you’ll watch her warm up into the happy, bouncy babe she is. She is not an all-day chaos coordinator, she is working with short bursts of bouncy joy and then goes immediately back to lounging. Even her zoomies are delightfully abbreviated bursts, like she’s squeezing in one quick lap of silliness before returning to her regularly scheduled sniffari. Hobbies? Poppy adores stuffy toys… and also believes fluff is meant to be set free. She is a 1000% certified defluffer, so if you’re a BarkBox household, the “durable chews and tough toys” subscription tier is where you are aiming (or at least stuffies you won’t mourn after 4–7 minutes of enthusiastic “work”). In playgroup, Poppy showed that she’s most comfortable with calm, respectful dog friends. She would enjoy a buddy who can take a hint and prefers “play if invited” rather than constant wrestling auditions. On leash, she was decent and generally focused on wandering and sniffing alongside her new friends rather than making a big fuss about the other dogs. Once she meets and settles in she mingles around wonderfully. Poppy’s dream home is on the calmer side, where her people appreciate her rather low-key pace. A house with a yard would be lovely for her, but she may also be comfortable in an apartment with appropriate daily outlets and enrichment. And Poppy is looking for a cat-free home. Meeting our house cat it was easy to see that her curiosity was a bit too intense for the average house cat. We imagine she has simply never met of lived with one but that curiosity wouldn’t like fade and would be annoying to the cat and the calm of your home. tIf you’re looking for a sweet, grown-up brindle girl with a couch-loving heart, a goofy hop, and a world-class underbite smile, Poppy is ready and waiting for you! Story
Chomp is a 5 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix. Loves snuggling under blankets and playing ball. He is great with INDOOR cats and has lived with two female dogs. Chomp does display barrier aggression to passerbyers (mainly other dogs) so a fully fenced yard is a must. He has lived around kids and while he does great with them, he is very food motivated/strong so I wouldn't recommend him to be around little ones. Chomp will require an experienced adopter as he is a large breed/has some quirks about him. Please reach out to me with any interest and I will do my best to answer questions honestly/provide as much information as I can.

Story
Laxus is a very sweet boy once you get to know him. Due to having a baby on the way and his aggression towards other dogs in the home, unfortunately we have to try and find him a new home. We are consistently working on trying to socialize him everyday, but it isn’t working as we had hoped. He would be a great addition to any non pet household.

Story
I had to downsize to an apartment in Ballard last year. Daisy has not been happy in this smaller, urban environment. I've seen her get more and more depressed over the past year, and it breaks my heart. Daisy would do best in a house with a yard she can run zoomies in. Also, should be the only dog. She is not agressive, but definitely not submissive. She likes kids, but she is big and full of energy, so be careful with small children. No kids? She'd love to snuggle next to you on the couch and watch TV with you. Also, Daisy hates riding in cars. She gets very axious and wound up after riding in a car. So I would be hesitant to try and rehome her in a location far from me. But we could discuss that if interested. One more thing: Had Daisy's DNA tested . . . she has 17 Breeds in her background. That's pretty unique!

Story
**Fostered in Lynnwood, WA and ready for meet and greets** First things first...just look at how stinking cute Jojo Jellybean is and that smile of hers! If she were to enter a contest of dogs with the best smile, Jojo would win it by a landslide! No doubt about that. Her cute little snaggletooth smile isn't the best thing about her though. There is SO much more that is absolutely incredible about her. Jojo is very dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, smart, has great house manners, and has the best personality that is a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Here are just a few things (but not limited to because there are a lot) that her foster mom has said are her favorite things about Jojo Jellybean: 1. Her adorable underbite and the way her snaggletooth sticks out which makes for perfect picture opportunities and makes her smile every time she looks at her. 2. The way she loves to love and looks at you with so much love in her eyes that it makes your heart melt. She knows how to make you feel special and make your day. 3. Last, but certainly not least, the way she loves to please her people and look to them for direction. Jojo thrives with people who provide her with structure and guidance. All she wants to do is please and was born to make you happy. Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet n' sassy girly: https://youtu.be/M9Dp0jNK4V0?si=6dy9zE1_2-6map2T At 3 years old, this Staffy/Pug, possibly even a little Chihuahua mix— that’s the beauty of adopting a rescue! It’s a little sprinkle of many amazing breeds! Jojo is already a superstar with a smile you’ll never forget and an underbite that could win awards. Another bonus to add in regards to her physical traits is that she is tiny and only weighs 26 lbs and is full grown! Y'all she doesn't even weigh 30 lbs. Jojo is the perfect size for couch snuggles, not even taking up an entire couch cushion or pillow LOL. She is living proof that great things come in small packages, literally! You'll see in her video and throughout a good chunk of her pictures where Jojo is posted up in a little ball sitting on top of a mountain of pillows LOL. Maybe she thinks it her own personal pillow thrown, who knows, but it's a favorite spot of hers no doubt. Just call her the pillow queen! Bonus points if you're snuggled up next to her and that pillow mountain because she loves to be around people and loves to cuddle. She'll cuddle any chance she can get. So get ready for movie marathon snuggles with Jojo because it's a guarantee with this girly. Jojo loves other dogs of all sizes and is currently fostered in a multi dog home. She finds so much joy and comfort being around other dogs and the feeling is mutual for them as well. She makes the best friendships/connections with other dogs that allow her to open up and give her space when they first meet, after that the rest is history. Once Jojo is comfortable, she'll be your dog's best friend and you'll find yourself loving the relationship they build together. One of the other things that her foster mom loves about Jojo is how gentle she is with their foster puppies. Jojo is so tolerant with them and does a great job showing them the ropes just like a big sister would. Jojo is also fostered with 3 other adult dogs in the home all ranging in sizes and does great with them all. One of her foster siblings is a small Chihuahua mix about 7 lbs, a medium sized cattle dog mix, and a large 80 senior shepherd female. The small Chihuahua mix can be a little spicy at times and doesn't like to play and will tell Jojo he doesn't want to play by giving her a verbal correction and she listens to him beautifully. She loves to wrestle with their son's pittie mix that comes over to visit and they have the best time playing together on the bed turning it into their own personal wrestling mat. Jojo knows when to take play breaks as well and enjoys those relaxing moments in the company of other dogs as well. Jojo is also cat friendly and is currently fostered with a cat in the home. The cats that she is currently fostered with are older and slower paced and they are caught frequently snuggling together on the sofa. Jojo has also been around kittens before and she does great with them too. When space is asked from either the cats or from the people around, she gives and respects their space. She free feeds in the home with the other dogs and cat in the home and shares treats beautifully with everyone. Jojo does enjoy to finish her meals peacefully without having to worry about another dog wanting to pick up any pieces of kibble that Jojo missed and will do best with structured feeding times. If you don't have other dogs that's fine too. Jojo does not need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or to satisfy her energy needs. She adores everyone she meets and she can adapt her energy whatever you need to be. Want to have a lazy Sunday and binge watch your favorite show? Jojo will be right there snuggled up next to you. Want to go to town and visit your local farmers market, go to the park or explore those scenic trails, Jojo is already at the door with her walking harness on. Like to have friends and family over for Sunday football grilling out in the backyard? Jojo will be your best co-host and friendliest princess to them all. Even if your guests have kids or if you have kids, Jojo really does love everyone and that friendliness is extends to kids as well. Her foster's granddaughter who is 3 years old, visits frequently and they absolutely love each other. Jojo loves to give her kisses, take treats from her very gently and is very tolerant of those toddler grabbing hands. She just loves to be be apart of your daily lives and wants to be included. Jojo's current foster home has moments of hustle and bustle mix in with moments of calm too and she does great with both energy levels. The consistent factor that is always maintained regardless of what is going on that day, is the structure and balance that her fosters set for all of their dogs as well as Jojo which she thrives with. She loves routine, consistency and the direction she is given by her foster parents and the confidence they carry. Jojo is a smart cookie and is eager to please. She already knows a hand full of commands such as sit, stay, come, easy, down, leave it, kennel, off and have the wits about her to learn so much more if you please. Jojo has wonderful house manners, isn't getting into things she shouldn't be, is fully potty trained and is kennel trained as well. She will whine for about 5-10 minutes when you initially put her in their kennel but she does settle down and takes a nice nap. Jojo is also a perfectly little lady in the car and can jump in and out all on her own with no assistance and walks well with her harness. She does pull out of excitement when she wants to go meet a person but she responds really well to verbal corrections and overall responds well to verbal corrections. Jojo dream home would have a backyard rather than an apartment because she loves to get the zoomies, sunbathe, play fetch, and has the best time rolling around in a dirt patch LOL. She turns into zoomie little piglet and her foster loves watching her from the kitchen window or while she's sitting on the patio while Jojo is radiating with enjoyment. Jojo really is a good little dog and will make a great companion. All she needs is a family that will provide her with the structure that she thrives off of and a family that will continue to lead her so she can continue to be the best doggy citizen that she is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a winning smile, Jojo is ready to brighten your days! The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
