Story
Paris is looking for the right long-term home. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I want to do what is best for her.She is a beautiful red Standard Poodle full AKC registration with a wonderful personality. I’m a professional dog groomer, so she is extremely accustomed to grooming, bathing, drying, brushing, nail trims, and handling. She was originally intended as a grooming/show prospect, so she’s very comfortable with the grooming process.Due to ongoing health challenges, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to find her a home that can give her the consistency, time, and structure she deserves long-term. This is not something I wanted, and it has taken me a long time to come to terms with it, but I know it is what is best for her.She is leash and kennel trained. Very affectionate, and truly a good girl. She’s smart, eager to bond, and loves being close to her people. She does have a higher energy level and can be a little clingy but best with another dog friend

Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! This handsome boy is Zazu! He was owner surrendered when his family could no longer care for him. He’s a 4 year old Goldendoodle! He’s a timid boy who needs patience as he settles in and gets accustomed to new families and environments. He’s 60 lbs and as recently groomed. He’s playful and sweet once comfortable, but does need patience and understanding as he adjust to a new family and environment. He does well in the house and car. He’s utd, hw tested and neutered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
Arlo is 6 years old, in great health, and has had his yearly shots. He is very smart and alert. He has a beautiful coat color. His outer coat is lighter than his undercoat, which gets exposed when he is trimmed. He is mostly white with black, silver and a tiny bit of brown. He does well with our older children, but gets fearful and barks at small children when they come to our yard. He does not like cats or chickens. He gets along well with female dogs, but not other males in his own yard. He does get along with other males better now that he is neutered. He does very well on walks and has never been aggressive toward strangers. He is a pure breed and could be professionally trained. He will require grooming to maintain his coat. He does not shed.

Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Holly is a 5 year old border collie mix (we think). She’s friendly, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has one blue eye and one brown and her coat is almost like a terrier. She’s the perfect mutt! She does well with basic commands and loves her chew toys. Her personality is a bit goofy, but she’s smart and sweet. She will complete her vetting Saturdays and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply!
