Story
Prentiss is a beautiful standard Poodle born on March 27, 2025. She’s a sweet, loving, and gentle girl. Prentiss gets along wonderful with other dogs and kids. She got to meet a few cats at her last vet visit and didn't have any issues with them as well. She knows how to walk on a leash and is almost potty trained. If she has an accident, she knows to use the pads. She loves to play with balls and stuffed animals. Prentiss rides great in the car and seems to really enjoy it. She is a total love bug. She gives lots of kisses and likes to snuggle up in the bed with you. This precious girl would make a great addition to any home. We would prefer that she goes to a home that has another dog because she loves other dogs so much.

Story
Mistletoe is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Mistletoe, th runt in the litter, is friendly, loving and smart! She is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Mistletoe is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Based on puppy weight calculators we think she will be between 25 and 35 lbs. If you would like to add this sweetheart to your family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.

Story
Meet Milo — the kind of dog people dream about and hope to find.  This gorgeous Apricot Doodle, weighing 55 pounds and 4 years young, is the total package and ready to bring joy to a new family. Milo has been with his family since puppyhood, and as life changed and children came along, they realized that Milo deserves more time and attention than they can give. It’s a loving, thoughtful decision made with Milo’s best interests at heart — because there is truly nothing lacking in this wonderful boy. Milo is fantastic with young children, housebroken, crate trained, and has a calm, well-mannered personality that makes him an ideal family companion. He’s the kind of dog who settles easily, loves being included, and just wants to belong.   Critter Cavalry Rescue will be helping Milo find the perfect match and will be making sure he is neutered and fully up-to-date on vet care on 1/14. From there, he’s ready to step right into a lucky family’s life and become someone’s best friend. Trust us — someone is going to hit the jackpot with Milo.  To learn more, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:04 pm

Story
Meet Theo! Theo is a handsome doodle mix, about 10 months old and already weighing in at 66 lbs. He was surrendered by his owner due to lack of time, and now he’s looking for a committed family who can keep up with his puppy energy. Theo is young, energetic, and a bit rambunctious, so he’s still working on his manners. The good news? He will be heading to the prestigious Arkansas Paws in Prison Program, where he’ll receive training to help him become a more well-mannered and well-rounded pup. Theo is good with other dogs and has a loving, affectionate personality. Due to his high energy level and doodle coat, potential adopters should be prepared for regular exercise, continued training, and routine grooming upkeep. Theo is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. If you’d like to add this adorable, loving boy to your family, please complete our adoption application. 🐾

Story
If you would like to apply to take LUCY home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Lucy is a 4-year-old Poodle mix/Doodle with a sweet soul and an affectionate nature. She originally came from a rescue, where she was found wandering and severely matted. Since then, Lucy has received the care she needed and is now groomed, spayed, and up to date on all veterinary care. She is a well-mannered girl who is both house-trained and crate-trained. She takes food gently, sits politely, rides comfortably in cars, and is non-reactive on walks. She enjoys other dogs in neutral settings and could live with a compatible canine companion of a similar size and temperament. However, she will benefit greatly from additional training and support by an experienced owner. She’s happiest when she can spend time outdoors walking, hiking, or exploring, but she’s also content relaxing on the couch with her person. Lucy truly wants to be part of the family and will thrive where she can be an integral part of daily life. Lucy would do best in a home without children. She tends to be more comfortable with women and may need some extra time to warm up to men, but with gentle handling and positive reinforcement, she forms strong bonds and becomes a very loving and loyal companion.

Story
Meet Rollo! This one-year-old poodle–schnauzer (our best rescue guess!) is 100% scruffy sweetness, with the softest eyes and the floppiest ears you’ll ever meet. He’s looking for a quiet home outside the city, where he can truly settle in and feel safe. Rollo is a gentle soul who starts off a bit shy, but with patience and kindness, he blossoms into the sweetest companion. He’d thrive in a calm home with a single person or an older adult, but he can also join a family with older, respectful kids who understand his soft nature. He’s cat- and dog-friendly and can coexist peacefully with furry siblings. More than anything, Rollo is ready to be someone’s loyal shadow—living a life filled with comfort, kindness, and love. Rollo is ready to go home—could that be with you? Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option.
