Story
Tracker is a beautiful, one year old, 28 lb, pure bred Pardi Poodle and such an amazing dog. This handsome boy adores being around his people and is very outgoing and social.  This cuddly boy with the crazy hair, reminds us of a ‘surfer dude’ and he has the same carefree breezy personality.  Tracker is wonderful with other dogs and cats and he has been with a very active 3 year old little boy ever since he was a puppy with the family.  He is seeking a new home because the family has fallen on financially hard times and must sadly let their dogs go.  He would love a fenced in yard to be able to safely run around in and play.  He likes to on leash walks and playing with his toys.  He is crate trained and if taken out regularly is good on house trained.  Tracker will make any family a great canine companion.  Our pictures do not do him justice.  If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 20, 2024, 4:42 pm

Story
Well folks get ready for one of the most rare new small dog combos ever!!!!   A Poodle/PUG!!!!!   Can you believe this?  Our little guy that is this combination of Poodle and Pug is called BeeBop and he is a doll baby with the wonderful smile to light up anyone’s day.  He is just a 1 year old boy that weighs 17 pounds.  Small and compact but LARGE on love and great love and affection for his people.  This boy can go anywhere with you and make friends!   If  you want to add to your popularity in life, then adopt this boy and see your social media rating SOAR!  He is ready to go to the pet store, Homie Joe Depot or Lowes’s to help you buy all the necessities for home and for HIM at the pet store.  He will wag his tail, shoot everyone that big GRIN and make everyone stop to pet him and ask …..WHAT IS HE!?????  He is crate trained and working graduating to 100% on house training .  You can certainly continue that lesson easily enough. He loves kids.  When he first sees people he is a little over the top excited but he will calm down.  His friendship barometer is off the charts with eagerness to make friends.  BeeBop loves to play with toys and he loves to make them SQUEAK! He is good on a leash and obviously he is a really fun little guy.  He is the dog that loves to go on adventures with you which would include walks, hiking, shopping sprees ….it doesn't matter because he is game.   He does shed but not like other dogs.  His Pug genetics give him the shedding capabilities.  We think he might benefit from a fenced in yard to run and play in and if dreams could come true for him….he would also like a little 4 legged friend to play with.   Sad days with this guy just won’t exist….he won’t allow it.  No medications for depression will be needed with BeeBop around.  If you are interested in this little guy he just might be interested in you if you write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask them to send you an application please.  I know that my little fun personality and face will make the girls SWOON.  Don’t hesitate!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 20, 2024, 4:42 pm

Story
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application  HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see  HERE Age: 4 years, 3 months Weight: 46 pounds This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Scarlett is a beautiful Golden Doodle mix who is about four years old. She was found abandoned by a creek, along with her four young adult daughters. They were rescued by a young couple who were able to round up all five dogs. All of the dogs were in very poor condition, with filthy and matted fur, but they are thriving now. Scarlett is currently living in an active foster home with an adult woman, dogs and cats, and school age grandchildren who visit almost every day. She gets along wonderfully with everyone, especially her new canine friends. She has not spent much time with adult men, but has been friendly to the ones she has met. She can be a little bit reserved sometimes with unfamiliar children, but warms up quickly. Scarlett has been described as being laidback and charming, with a heart of gold. She is a calm and easygoing girl who loves to play, but also likes to take naps and cuddle up with her people. She enjoys toys, especially chews, and loves to plop her paws on her canine companions. She has never had an accident in the house, and she is calm and quiet in her crate or when riding loose in the car. If a gate is open, she will stay and wait politely instead of trying to escape. She is mostly very quiet, but will watchdog bark to alert her people. She is always eager to please and very responsive to gentle corrections.  Scarlett is a truly lovely and gentle dog who is going to make her new family very happy, and we believe that she will be a great fit for a wide variety of homes. Scarlett kept her four daughters safe during their difficult time as neglected strays, and we believe that she deserves the most wonderful life imaginable! Medical Note: This dog tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that this dog had ehrlichia. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and was preventatively treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline. Please see here for more information on ehrlichia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehrlichiosis_(canine). Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor. May 21, 2024, 3:06 pm

These pups have had nothing but the best of care.  **local Rhode Island residents preferred due to their spay neuter appointments. Fenced yard and another friendly pup preferred    *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***         If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
