Meet Ginny Lynn — a sweet little girl who is still learning that being someone’s dog is a pretty wonderful thing. ❤️   Ginny Lynn is a 45 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix who, along with her 2 brothers, was abandoned when a tenant left them and her grey Poodle dad,  behind at a cabin in the woods. They were actually all 4 left in crates and had to wait to be discovered and rescued many days later. They had known both indoor and outdoor life before that, but suddenly being left behind like that was a pretty confusing and scary experience for these pups.   So, it’s no surprise that Ginny can be a little sensitive when everything around her is new. She may not be the one who marches through the door on day one like she owns the place. She’s more of a “let me look around, figure this out and make sure everything is okay” kind of girl.   And honestly, once she decides everything really is okay, she is pretty amazing and  sweet.   She has been living in a house now and is doing well. She is discovering the joys of being comfortable, having a soft place to curl up and getting to spend his days around people. She’s learning that a house isn’t something to be unsure of—it’s where the good stuff happens.   Ginny Lynn is smart, loving and eager to learn. She just needs someone who understands that confidence doesn't always happen overnight. Give her a little patience, a predictable routine and some kindness, and you’ll get to watch this sweet girl come out of her shell.   Once she settles in, expect a happy little companion who wants to be part of things. Ruger — A Sweet Boy Discovering How Wonderful Home Can Be   Ruger is a 40 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix whose life didn’t get the easiest start. He was abandoned along with his brothers and their dad when a tenant left them behind at a cabin in the woods. Like his brothers, Ruger spent his early life outside with very little experience of the world beyond what he knew.   Because of that, adopters should expect Ruger to be a little shy and sensitive at first. Moving into a new home, meeting new people and learning a whole new routine is a big change for a boy who hasn’t always had the chance to experience the world in a safe and secure way. Marigold's Story Marigold and Margaux are 3-year-old Standard Poodle sisters who have spent their lives together. They are a bonded pair and are being placed **together, not separately**. Their personalities complement each other beautifully: Marigold is the outgoing, energetic, goofy sister, while Margaux is sweeter and more reserved. Both are social with other dogs, active, and accustomed to sharing their home and daily life with one another. She has lived with her Standard Poodle sister, Margaux, and two Doodle sisters for the past three years, so sharing her life with other dogs is completely normal for her. She has completed basic obedience training that included an **e-collar**. Her new family should be prepared to continue her training and give this intelligent, energetic girl plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. Marigold isn't a dog who needs to be cuddled all day. She likes doing things! But when she decides it's time for affection, look out—she is perfectly capable of smothering you with love. **Belly and neck scratches are always welcome.** Marigold is reported to be **good with children and other dogs**. She has never lived with cats, so her behavior with cats is unknown. She has chased birds at daycare, which should be considered when evaluating a home with smaller animals. She is spayed and her vaccinations are reported current. She is accustomed to regular grooming, does well for grooming and tooth brushing, although cleaning around her eyes isn't exactly her favorite activity. Marigold currently eats **1 1/2 cups of Blue Buffalo dry food twice daily**, morning and evening. She is accustomed to regular grooming and is very cooperative—actually, **Margaux rather enjoys being pampered!** She doesn't mind having her teeth brushed, although she'd prefer that you forget all about cleaning those pesky eye goobers. Russell Scruff has the kind of sweet, scruffy face that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything is going to be okay. With his tousled fur, gentle eyes, and quiet little personality, he has a way of pulling at your heart without even trying. He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but watching him gather the courage to take tiny baby steps toward you for affection makes earning his trust feel incredibly special. We believe he may be a Terrier mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Whatever his DNA may be, it certainly gave him an irresistible face and the perfect compact size! Russell is dog friendly and is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs, including dogs much bigger than he is. His foster has shared that everyone gets along great together. Having friendly canine companions around may even help Russell feel more comfortable as he settles into a new environment. Personality-wise, Russell is calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet. He is a sensitive little guy who needs a bit of time to warm up, but he wants affection and will slowly work up the courage to ask for it. He’ll take a few careful baby steps toward you, pause to make sure everything is safe, and then inch a little closer until he is finally within ear-scratching distance. It is such a tender, endearing way of asking for love, and once you see it, you’ll want to give him all the scratches he could ever ask for. Russell is crate trained, and his foster has shared that he sleeps through the night in his crate. From what we have seen so far, he also seems to understand where the appropriate place to go potty is. As with any rescue dog entering a new home and routine, he may need a little patience and consistency while he adjusts. Russell would love a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and learn that he is safe and loved. Give him a little time, plenty of gentle encouragement, and unlimited ear scratches, and this sweet scruffy boy will reward you with a truly special kind of love. Matter is an adorable 11 month old neutered male Aussiedoodle who is ready to find his forever family!
