Story
Adopt Ty! 🐾 Ty is estimated to be 3-4 years old, and is a purebred Standard Poodle weighing around 60 pounds. His foster family says he’s truly as sweet as they come. This lovable boy has a wonderful personality and so much love to give. He quickly becomes everyone’s best friend and absolutely loves meeting new people. Ty thrives on companionship and being part of the family. Ty has excellent house manners and is fully housebroken. He can be trusted out of a crate when left alone and is not destructive in the home. He sleeps soundly through the night for 8–9 hours and is generally a very quiet dog, only barking occasionally if he hears an unusual noise outside. This handsome guy enjoys his routines, especially his long morning walks, and he always has a healthy appetite! Like many curious pups, he has occasionally been known to “counter surf,” and he could benefit from some continued work on basic commands and training. He will also need regular professional grooming every 4-6 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best! Ty has only been in the car a couple of times, but with patience and more positive experiences, we think he’ll get used to it quickly. We are still learning about how he interacts with other dogs (he has been around them in previous living situations), so proper slow introduction will be necessary for safe integration. We prefer he goes to a home without cats at this time. We think Ty would thrive in a forever home where he has plenty of companionship during the day, as well as plenty of structured exercise. He would likely do wonderfully with an active and experienced family (kids age 8+) who would enjoy playing with him and including him in daily life. A fenced yard is ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a gentle heart, Ty may be your perfect match! ❤️ Apply here: www.pprct.org

You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Meet Razzle ✨🐾 *Local adoptions only. Razzle is fostered in Huntsville, AL and not available for transport. Looking for a fun, fluffy best friend? Razzle is ready to bring the sparkle to your life! This 1.5-year-old poodle mix (possibly a Newfiepoo!) is as loving as he is handsome—and he’s just getting started on becoming the best boy ever. Razzle is a people-loving pup who thrives on companionship. He enjoys playtime, being near his person, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He’s been working hard on his manners and is doing great, but he’s still a young, energetic guy—so he’ll do best in a home without small children. His gorgeous coat does shed some and will need regular brushing and grooming every 6–8 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best. ✨ Razzle’s highlights: ✔️ Heartworm negative ✔️ Up to date on vaccines ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Dog-friendly (would love a playful companion!) ✔️ Walks well on a leash ✔️ Crate trained when left alone Razzle does well in the home when supervised but should be crated if left alone. He’ll also need a secure fenced yard where he can safely run and play. While he’s still polishing his manners (like not jumping when excited), his foster will gladly share tips to help him continue succeeding in his new home. This sweet boy has already come so far and is ready to blossom with a family who will continue his journey. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Razzle might just be your perfect match. 💙 👉 Apply to adopt on our website FORrescue.net #FORrescue #FriendsofRescue #AdoptRazzle #PoodleMix #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #FluffyDog #ForeverHome #DogLovers #SecondChance

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Samson is a 1.5-year-old Husky, Australian Shepherd, and Poodle mix weighing about 40 pounds. He has a medium-high energy level and is full of playful curiosity. Though he is nervous at first, once he feels safe, Samson becomes a happy, bouncy pup who loves attention and belly rubs. One of his cutest quirks is emptying the toy box; he’ll take out every single toy and play with them all in turn. Samson is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. He is also crate-trained and does well when it’s quiet, though he may let his husky voice be heard if he feels he’s missing out on the action. He enjoys walks, fetch, and playing with other dogs, but may be best as the only dog in the family. Samson has shown mild curiosity around livestock and chickens and has done well on leash around them. We think he would be best in a home with no cats, since he tends to pester them in play. Samson had to be shaved down due to matting and will be looking for a family who will continue his grooming routine. He has made great progress with his initial shyness and is already much more comfortable with new people than when he first arrived. He sometimes shies away from men but continues to improve as he builds trust. With time and patience, his happy, goofy side shines through, and he becomes affectionate, silly, and eager to be part of the family. Samson is ready for a home that can give him both guidance and love, along with plenty of playtime and dog companionship. With the right family, he will grow into a loyal, fun-loving partner who fills the home with energy, joy, and all the toys scattered from his favorite game of emptying the toy box.    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 30, 2026, 2:17 pm

Story
Meet Lulu — a soft, gentle soul with a heart full of love and a PhD in cozy living. At around 11 years old, Lulu has fully embraced the art of the slow, sweet life. She isn’t here for chaos or constant motion—she’s here for the good stuff: warm blankets, quiet afternoons, soft pets, and being close to her person. If you’ve ever wished for a companion who will happily curl up beside you and make your home feel instantly calmer, Lulu is exactly that kind of dog. Her favorite hobby? Finding the comfiest spot in the house and settling in like she’s been waiting for it all day. A couch, a dog bed, a sunny patch on the floor—it’s all fair game, and she makes each spot look like the coziest place on earth. Add in some gentle pets and kind words, and you’ll see her completely melt. Lulu doesn’t ask for much, but what she gives in return is something really special. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/2cRUskYyRO8?si=EAUx899WdQskmUu8 She is incredibly loving and affectionate, the kind of dog who bonds deeply and just wants to be near you. There’s something about senior dogs like Lulu—they have this quiet understanding, this calm presence that feels like comfort in its purest form. She’s not trying to figure life out anymore; she already knows what matters, and that’s love, safety, and companionship. Lulu is also wonderfully easygoing. She does great with other dogs and has been around children ages 5-8 and has proven to be gentle and sweet. She’s currently thriving in her foster home, soaking up all the love and showing just how adaptable and kind she truly is. She’s not demanding, not high-energy, not complicated—she’s just… good. With kids, we do believe that she would do best living with kids 8+. Older kids that can understand her calmer personality. If you have grandkids that come over to visit, that is totally fine as it won't be an everyday thing. She did great meeting a 5 year old girl and was so gentle around her. Lulu is just an older gal and likes for her general everyday to be on the calmer side. Adopting a senior dog like Lulu is something truly meaningful. These dogs don’t get enough attention, but they are often the most grateful, the most loyal, and the most loving companions you could ever hope for. Lulu isn’t going to chew up your shoes or bounce off the walls—she’s going to quietly become your shadow, your comfort, your little piece of peace at the end of a long day. She’s already grown into the perfect companion; she just needs someone to share that life with. There’s a softness to Lulu that you can feel immediately. Maybe it’s in her gentle eyes, or the way she settles so easily beside you, or how she leans into affection like it’s her favorite thing in the world. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to impress you—she just wins you over by being exactly who she is. All Lulu wants is a loving home where she can spend her days doing what she does best: cuddling, resting, and being adored. In return, she’ll give you unwavering love, quiet companionship, and a kind of warmth that only a dog like her can bring. If you have a soft spot for the underdogs, for the gentle hearts, for the ones who just want a place to belong—Lulu is waiting for you. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This is BIRDIE, she was given that name by the family who found her because her barks sounds like bird chirps and she is not a barker so I rarely get to hear her chirp!  If there was a name I could give her for happy and sweet I would name her that because she is just happy all the time and super sweet.  She totally gets along with everyone and tries to play with all of the dogs big and small. BIRDIE will get groomed on Thursday and I will update the 'after' pictures once she is groomed.  She is 2 years old and 40 pounds and a bit underweight.  She could stand to gain at least 5-10 pounds.  I think BIRDIE is a small large- medium size dog, not really the tall standard poodle height or weight.  Her color is cream and she takes a bath really well. She walks very well on a leash, jumps in the car and rides without getting sick.  BIRDIE is happy to meet everyone.  This is a great dog who deserves a 2nd chance at a good forever home.  She was found wandering a neighborhood and posted on social media for a while trying to find her owners but no one ever came forward.  She was not microchipped but she is now. If you are interested in adopting BIRDIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 30, 2026, 12:16 am
