Story
The best part of Polo’s day is any time he’s getting a hug or snuggle.  Polo is a gentle and happy 3-year-old Doodle who favors a Poodle more than anything else.  He’s mostly white, with lots of patches of black and nicely sized a little smaller than most of the Doodles out there.  He’s 42 pounds and has a thick, curly coat, and a tail that never stops wagging.    His demeanor is very gentle. He gets along great with the dogs in his current foster pack, and with the people. He loves playing outside, but is just as happy to be inside with the people and getting cuddles. He will also usually be found lying on the floor, close to wherever the people are. He’s curious about things, and will watch other dogs, birds, etc, but doesn’t make a fuss about it. He’s not a big barker, but will alert if someone/ something is near the door. He’s (mostly?) house-trained….although since he’s not yet neutered, he has done some initial marking inside where he likely picked up on another dog’s smell. But no full-on accidents. At night, he likes to sleep in a fluffy dog bed in the peoples’ room. He usually has free run of his foster house, but is crated when there are no people at home, as we’re still just getting to know him. He doesn’t tend to favor any specific toys so far. He’s great in the car. He sat straight upright in the back seat, like a person, on a recent car trip.    He is up to date on his rabies and is scheduled to be neutered.    Polo is a sweet boy with soulful eyes, and just loves being petted and talked to. He’s been a real joy to have around the house, with his positive attitude and wagging tail.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmal.com if you are interested.  He is in Nashville, Tn and can transport on April 10th to the northeastern region on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 30, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
*Potential adopters MUST have experience owning dogs that need regular professional grooming!* Meet our cool and sweet dog named Mario! Mario is about 5.5 years old and he was surrendered to our shelter after his owners could no longer care for him. We were told he is a Poodle and Labrador mix and he weighs approx 45 lbs, but he could stand to gain a little weight. As you can see from his photos, Mario is currently completely shaved down. This is because when he first came to us, he was extremely overgrown and matted to the point where we just had to start over and let his coat grow back. He will grow back his beautiful curly black coat soon! Mario can be timid when first meeting new people and he can be a little hand shy, but he is a nice dog. He loves tennis balls and likes to lay on a soft blanket. Once Mario is comfortable with you, be ready for a playful and affectionate boy who is a big couch cuddler! Mario likes to lick his human friends all over and he can get vocal when he is playful. We are looking for a patient home for Mario to be able to decompress and then show his true, happy dog personality! Mario is good with other dogs and he tested fine with cats. He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older who have experience with dogs. Potential adopters MUST have experience owning dogs that need regular professional grooming! If you are interested in adopting Mario Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

Story
Lollipop is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Lollipop was the runt in the litter. She is friendly, loving and smart! She is also a major snuggler! She likes to wrap her head around your neck and nestle in! Lolli is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Lolli is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Based on puppy weight calculators we think she will be between 25 and 35 lbs. If you would like to add this sweetheart to your family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.
