Our adoption center & Spay Clinic is open by appointment with approved application. We are located at 571 NE 44th Street, the NW corner of Prospect (44th) and 6th in Oakland Park, FL. Our application is available online: www.animal-aid.com where you can also view all of our adoptable dogs and cats. Hi, I’m Barkese… yeah, I know—it’s a pretty funny name! But I promise, I’m a seriously great dog. My owner loves me very much, but sadly their health is failing and they can no longer take care of me. It’s been a hard change for both of us, but now I’m hoping to find a new family to call my own. I’m a very active pup who loves to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. That’s how I’ve spent most of my life so far. But if I’m being honest… I’m ready for something more. I dream about having a home where I can come inside, curl up on a soft bed, and snuggle close to my people at night.   ATTENTION:  WILL YOU HELP THIS BEAUTIFUL BOY IN GREAT NEED OF A NEW HOME?  Tino is a gorgeous Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, about 6 years old and 16 pounds. After loosing his family and coming to the shelter, Tino took some time to adjust and show his true self. He is now doing well with our staff and volunteers, but can be aggressive towards the other dogs.  With people, Tino is a great boy who is very sweet and friendly. He enjoys spending time cuddling in a nice lap, belly rubs, going for walks, and just hanging out. He will certainly make a wonderful companion for the right person, but he must be the only dog in his new family. Tino is a beautiful boy who deserves a second chance at a happy, stable life, filled with love.
