Meet Oliver! Oliver is one of several poodle mixes we rescued in early April from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in rural Georgia. All of these guys were filthy, with horribly infected ears and really had no idea how to relax and just be a dog! After several weeks of TLC and mentoring from some of their new dog friends, they are learning just how amazing being part of a loving family can be. Oliver is about 6-7 years old and under 30 lbs. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and even cats. Oliver was definitely one of the more timid of the group, but it didn't take long for him to really warm up to his foster mom - trying to climb into her lap at any opportunity. He's looking for a calmer home with poodle experienced adopters and another confident dog in the home, along with a fenced yard. Oliver does seem to be a little wary of men so he will do best in a home with at least one female for him to bond with while he grows comfortable with any male family members.   Interested in adopting Oliver and showing him all of the amazing things life has to offer? This is Maximus -he and his brother and sisters (Diamond, Goldie, Midnight and Charlie) were voluntarily surrenderly to animal control because their owner admitted admitted they were not prepared to take care of a litter of standard poodles (both parents are poodles -one is white, the other is mostly black with a bit of white).  All of them are extremely sweet - they came in very matted and had to be shaved completely.  They will be gorgeous when their fur grows back completly.  They are at the perfect age to be adopted to a home with other pets and children.  They are all smart -some are just more outgoing than others but again, all of them are super sweet.  They are all healthy and up to date to this point - we know they will make excellent pets!  For adoption. please visit our website at www.myhstc.org and complete an adoption application. Adoption fee is $85 We prescreen all applicants prior to a meeting.  To be screened, please complete an application at www.myhstc.org We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not ship nor transport sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We require travel in person adoption. ##2728915##
