This very handsome boy is Bo, a standard Poodle-mix male dog, who is friendly and loving. He came to Misty Eyes from an overcrowded, high-kill shelter. We don`t know his background, but it`s possible he came from a puppy mill or breeder. Although he`s sweet and friendly, he is a little bit skittish and lacks training. He is living in a foster home with a human infant, other dogs, and a cat, and is being very good. Bo will need a family who is willing to be patient with him and provide the training, mental stimulation and exercise he needs to become a wonderful family dog. Bo must have a fence in his new home as he pancakes on leash. He can be hard to catch even in a fenced in yard if he gets nervous so it will take some time and understanding. Luke is a standard-sized Poodle-Mix male dog who came to Misty Eyes by way of an overcrowded, high kill shelter. We don`t know his background, but it`s likely he was a breeder dog. He is not socialized and is, therefore, very skittish and easily frightened. He has apparently not been in a home, so is extremely fearful of being inside. He is not collar/harness/leash trained and will need continued work with his house manners. He is living with other dogs in his foster home and gets along fine with them. Luke needs a family who has the patience and willingness to work with him so he can become the terrific companion dog he was meant to be. Story
Clooney is a 2 year old poodle mix. He is very sweet with humans, but it takes him a little bit to warm up to new people. Clooney loves to play fetch, definitely one of his favorite things ever. He is housebroken and has had no accidents here since being housed without other dogs. Clooney prefers to be the only pet in a home. He has lived with other dogs of all sizes - but it really seems to stress him and make him snappy with other animals. At this point he’s really hoping for a family where he is the spoiled child of the family and doesn’t have to share. Clooney should not live with cats or smaller dogs. He loves to romp, run, and fetch - so a fenced yard is a plus. He is low energy for his age, and needs a family who is committed to getting him groomed every six weeks. Honestly a great boy looking for a special family to call his own.

Story
Kade is a one year old Goldendoodle. He arrived at SOAR when he escaped from a new family that purchased him from a breeder. Instead of waiting for him to be safely returned, they bought another pup from the same breeder. One of our partners rescued Kade after tracking his movements over time outside. He was surrendered to the shelter, where we pulled him. Kade likes other dogs, big and small, and has found a best friend here in another dog, Bubba. He is housed with a crew of dogs of all ages and types. We think he would do well with or without another dog. Kade has been around humans of all ages and sizes, and does fine. Because of his experience as a pup, he still sometimes lacks confidence. He prefers a family who thrives with structure and daily/weekly routine, so he knows what to expect and what happens next in his day. Kade would like to be included in family activities, and likes people who are gentle and patient, so he can continue to grow into a confident boy. He is flight risk until he knows his people, so will require a secure and fenced yard. He has been joining our dog walker and does excellently on a leash. He’s very sweet, and once you’re his person, likes to snuggle and gives little small kisses. Kade has done well crated here, and goes potty outside using a crate. Our team has recently started working with him to be left free-roaming in his space as well. Kade requires grooming every 6-8 weeks, so adopters should be aware of that financially.

I need to rehome my dog because of my work hours, and I am going back to school. I also can't keep up with his grooming and food needs. I got Reese when he was 6 months. He is now 2. He is sweet, loving, and playful. He is house-trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay, and circle. He is very easy to train. He loves to play fetch and play with his stuffed animals. He is not noisy and rarely barks.

Crosby is a beautiful sweet lover of a dog. He is gentle, affectionate and incredibly snuggly. We are rehomimg him because we do not have the time to give him the love and attention he deserves here at our hobby farm as foster parents on our busy schedule. Crosby loves to snuggle on the couch, play fetch, and romp around outside. He does well with our kids.
