Story
This is Rain! She is a 6 year old Standard Poodle. I am fostering her as her previous owners were no longer wanting to keep her. She is now looking for her forever home! Rain was originally a backyard breeder release to a shelter when she was 3 years old. Due to her genetics and life circumstances up until that point, she is a nervous/timid dog. She will need a home with someone who is experienced and patient to work through her anxiety. That being said, she is a sweetheart and would make a wonderful addition in the right home. She is dog and cat friendly. Other dogs give her confidence so preference will be given to a home with an existing dog who she could play with. She has not yet figured out how to play with toys, but will occasionally toss them around a little. She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands (sit, come, etc). I will reach out via email if you apply. Please check your spam folder if you don’t hear back from me after a couple days.

Story
Meet Dale Maffitt! Dale was found at Maffitt Reservoir last week. From his appearance, he had been out on his own for quite some time. After a full day of trying to lure him with treats, he was finally captured with the help of Paws of Hope Animal Rescue. Now that he`s with us and learning to trust, he`s getting more comfortable with our staff and volunteers. He is underweight so we are working on slowly getting back to a healthy weight. He did have to be shaved completely down due to the matting in his fur. While he doesn`t have the best haircut right now, it will all grow back.We are still learning about him. Right now, we feel a quieter home with a physical fenced yard would be best. He is still skittish and quick movements can be scary so we feel young children would be too much for him right now. Children old enough to understand his boundaries would be okay. We can tell you he does love to be near a person and will cuddle up next to you. He might think he`s a bit of a lapdog and can be a `singer` when he`s alone. We are not sure about other dogs in the home with him at this time. Please stop out and meet him.

Story
Ohhhh Beckham! This silly, wildly lovable, energy-packed boy is searching for a forever family that can keep up with his zest for life! He is a schnoodle (part dog, part energizer bunny) and loves being on the go.We’re pretty sure Beckham may have been a pole vaulter in a past life because this athletic superstar can clear a 4-foot fence like he’s casually playing hopscotch. Beckham is sweet, affectionate, and full of love… but he is also FULL of energy. This boy isn’t looking for a couch potato lifestyle — he’s looking for adventure buddies, playmates, and humans who love being active as much as he does.Doggy daycare? Loved it. Did it tire him out? Well… Beckham apparently considered that the warm-up because he was still ready for two more hours of play afterward. He does well with other dogs and would thrive with a family that can give him both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Walks, adventures, games, training, puzzles — this smart, busy boy wants his brain and body moving. He may not be the “easy button” dog when it comes to energy level, but what you get in return is a goofy, loving, happy boy with a huge heart and a whole lot of life to share. If your idea of fun is making memories, staying active, and having a best friend who is always ready for the next adventure… Beckham might just be your guy.As with all of our adoptables, a meet n greet with all family members (furry and not so furry) is needed to make sure it’s the perfect fit.

Story
Milo is a shy guy that is rather scared of the outside world. He knows how to sit and shake. He does require a fenced yard as he does not walk on a leash because he is so nervous. He does get very nervous when it storms. He does sleep in a crate just fine and he does not need to be crated when the foster leaves the home. He gets along with other dogs and has done fine around kids. The only time he has barked is when he wants to play with you. Milo will do best in a home that is not super busy or overwhelming. Once he warms up he is a lovely companion.
