Story
If there were an Olympic event for loving snacks, Cocoa would be bringing home the gold medal! This handsome guy is highly food motivated and firmly believes that every good decision should be rewarded with a treat. The good news? It makes him eager to learn and a lot of fun to train! Cocoa is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle bug. He loves getting out for long walks, exploring new places and investigating every interesting smell along the way. He’s still polishing up his leash manners, but he’s a smart boy who listens well and responds to correction. When he’s not out adventuring, Cocoa is more than happy to soak up all the tummy rubs and snuggles you can offer. He absolutely adores other dogs and would love a playful canine companion. Unfortunately, his current foster siblings aren’t nearly as excited about playtime as he is, but that doesn’t stop him from trying! To top it all off, Cocoa is fully housetrained and kennel trained, making him an easy addition to a lucky family’s home. Cocoa has so much love, personality, and joy to share. Now he just needs a family to share it with! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our application here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. Story
Hi, I'm Ducky, a 2-year-old female Doodle! Me and my sister Cocoa, lost our home through no fault of my own, when our owner was incarcerated. We ended up on an euthanasia list, but a vet student contacted RCHS about our situation and, YAY, RCHS came to our rescue! I am incredibly smart, gorgeous and sweet, with a natural, and amazing, faux hawk. Currently, I'm living with two larger foster brothers who absolutely adore me, though they refuse to admit it. I haven't been around cats, but I love chasing bunnies during my daily yard patrol, so if cats are like bunnies, I might want to chase them too. Since I have a prey drive, I will need a fully fenced in yard. I haven't been around a lot of children, but I loved those that I have met! I’m not so sure about toddlers, though. I'm crate trained, potty trained and I know basic commands. According to my foster mom, I am the very best girl! Like all girls, I enjoy long walks, having my tummy rubbed, chasing bunnies, and cuddling whenever possible. My ideal home would be with someone who is willing to be patient with me while I learn their house rules and most importantly, ready to play with me and, of course, tell me how amazing I am. Story
Ted is a lovable, affectionate boy who thrives on being close to his people. Whether he's resting his head in your lap for cuddles, leaning against your leg for extra attention, or relaxing at your feet while you work, Ted's favorite place is wherever you are. This handsome guy is fully potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps quietly in his crate every night. He's also food-motivated and has learned excellent manners around mealtime, including staying in his designated spot while meals are being prepared. Ted is fed a quality dog-food-only diet and has flourished with proper nutrition. When he first arrived in foster care, he was severely underweight at just 42 pounds. Today, he's a healthy 55 pounds and looking great. Ted is an energetic dog who enjoys daily exercise, walks, car rides, playing fetch, and showing off his zoomies in the backyard. He walks wonderfully when handled with the slip leash recommended by his trainer and does best with a confident, consistent owner who can provide clear leadership. Because Ted forms strong bonds with his people, he can be naturally protective. With proper structure and training, he settles into his role as a loving companion rather than feeling responsible for managing his environment. His foster family has worked closely with him, and he has made tremendous progress with guidance and consistency. Ted is looking for an adopter who understands the importance of leadership and will continue reinforcing the skills he has already learned. Ted enjoys meeting new people, especially children over the age of five. Due to his enthusiasm and happy wagging tail, he may accidentally knock over smaller children. He can coexist with cats and does well when introductions to new dogs are handled slowly and thoughtfully. Ted is searching for an active home that will provide structure, consistency, and plenty of love. In return, he'll offer unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and devoted companionship that will make him a wonderful addition to the right family.

Story
Meet Teddy, an extremely affectionate and energetic dog who thrives on companionship and activity. He forms strong bonds with his people and loves being close, whether that means leaning in for attention or simply staying nearby. He would do best in a home with other active dogs, as he enjoys playtime and benefits from having canine companions who can match his energy level. Teddy would do best in an active household that can provide regular exercise, including long walks and engaging play sessions. Teddy loves toys of all kinds and is always eager for interactive play. He is both crate trained and potty trained, making the transition into a new home smoother.
