Meet Asher! Asher is a beautiful five year old, 54 lb, cream colored Standard Poodle who until now has only known the lonely life of a puppy mill. You would never know this because of how loving he is. Early on in his fostering, he would slowly collect all the dog toys and drop them gently in the dog and cat beds. He also added bones and a small dog dish as if to say, “I find these things special”. Asher gets along well with his foster siblings (including happy greetings through the fence with the dog next door). He loves being near his people and would probably do well with owners who are not gone a lot. He travels well in the car with no motion sickness. He loves to wander the yard so a fenced area would be ideal. Running out in the morning to chase the squirrels away from the bird feeder has become his new anticipatory fun. He has also had a few fun runs in the back yard, but is usually very calm. He loves to lay in your lap, beside you, at your feet, or even curl up on your chest. He would do well as an adored dog of one, or part of a pack. He is highly intelligent, potty trained, loving, and waiting for the perfect home. Asher is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. ​Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.           I may only have 3 legs… but I promise I have 4x the love to give. My name is Hagrid, I’m 3 years old, and I recently had to have my front leg amputated because of an old injury that was never treated. It wasn’t my fault — but I’m not letting it define me. I’m healing, I’m strong, and I’m a sweet, incredibly happy boy! Please don’t look at me differently… or worse, not at all. I can still run, play, cuddle, and love just like any other dog. I can even do steps and jump up in cars!  I don’t feel sorry for myself — so you don’t have to either. I’m as sweet as they come and I absolutely love other dogs. I’m just looking for someone who sees past what I’m missing and notices everything I still have to offer — a loyal heart, a gentle soul, and a lifetime of devotion. All I need is a soft place to land and someone willing to give a “tripod” a chance. Could that someone be you? Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Breed: A Doodle, but without all of the grooming needs of most Doodles! Weight: 65 lbs   Dogs: Loves other dogs, but unaware of his size so it’s best to have friends 25lbs+ Cats: He likes to chase and bark at them, so a home with no cats is preferred   Adoption Radius: Within 100 miles of Florence, KY Adoption Fee: $300.00 *Hagrid is great at navigating stairs, as needed.  For his longterm health, he needs a home with no or minimal stairs.  He is more stable running vs walking, so a home with a fenced yard where he can set his own pace and length of time exercising is ideal.  October 5, 2026, 12:22 am
