Story
&#226&#156&#168Princess Charlie Is looking for her person after being deserted by her owner in the downtown area of Nashville, TN.  She was found scavenging for food in trash cans and luckily a kind rescue hearted woman took her home. &#226&#156&#168 At just 2 years of age and 44 pounds, this beautiful Poodle girl Charlie has already been through so much that she does not deserve. She came to us after the caring individual who found her, tried everything they could to help her get healthy.  Her illness and symptoms were just puzzling and frustrating for a diagnosis.  After thorough testing, we finally uncovered the truth about Princess Charlie.  She has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This means her body can’t properly digest food without daily enzyme supplements. The good news is that it is treatable with a consistent drug being administered.  Dogs with EPI can live happy, full, completely normal lives. The reality, though, is that her medication will be lifelong and averages about $200 per month. We know that someone is out there with the financial resources to love her and give her the medication monthly that will be her lifeline for a good long life. Princess  Charlie will need someone fully invested in her health — someone committed not just to loving her, but to advocating for her and keeping her on the treatment plan she needs to thrive.  This girl is SO worth it.   What we know about this special needs girl we call Princess Charlie, is that she is the sweetest, smartest little girl. She gets along beautifully with everyone and has such a gentle, loving spirit. Even after a rough start to her young life, she greets each day with hope and kindness. She truly deserves nothing but the very best from here on out. If you’ve ever wanted to make a true life-changing difference for a dog who needs someone to rescue her for her lifetime, our girl Princess Charlie is your girl. She doesn’t need a perfect person — she just needs a committed one.  Your reward is her undying love, her sweet smile every morning and her spirit of joy that is so contagious.  Please write to us and we can tell you more about how easy this is to treat.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com            PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 27, 2026, 9:01 pm

Story
Joy is a 2-year-old spayed female Poodle who is ready to rule her kingdom — and your heart! This sweet girl is wonderful with people and does great with kids. She may give a few barks when she first meets someone (she likes to announce herself), but once she knows you’re a friend, her loving and affectionate personality shines through.Joy loves car rides and will happily be your co-pilot on any adventure. Spa day? No problem! She’s good in the bath and handles grooming like the classy lady she is. She also enjoys playtime and has a fun, bouncy side that makes her a joy (pun intended!) to be around.Joy can be selective with other dogs and does not prefer female dogs, so meet-and-greets are important to ensure a good match. She truly wants to be the queen of her castle and would likely thrive soaking up the spotlight in a home where she can be the center of attention. She does okay on a leash and would benefit from continued structure and consistency to help her be her very best self.If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, people-loving companion who’s ready to reign as your one and only princess, Joy is waiting to meet you!

Story
Wilfred is adorable, smart and motivated to learn. He knows basic commands including sit, down and stay, and would do great learning tricks. He walks well on a leash. Wilfy adores people; he will wiggle his whole body in excitement when you come home, will happily cuddle up with you in bed, and is quick to ask for a belly rub. He loves toys and is a bit of a clown. Wilfred was advertised by the rescue we adopted him from as being great with cats. He is in fact highly motivated to chase cats, and should not live with them. Wilfy would do well paired with a dog who matched his energy and play drive, but would probably best shine as an only dog. He would love to have land to run on. Wilfy would make the right human(s) a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime dog. We want to find him an experienced adopter who is down to continue the rewards-based training from which he has benefited. Wilfy is 45 lbs. He is neutered, heartworm neg, and has all shots. We are happy to transport him.
