Story
Fifi is a gorgeous, very social, black and white standard party poodle who was born 3/4/23. This sweet girl weighs about 40 pounds and is looking for a mom. She is great with other dogs and loves to play with her toys. Fifi is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Her adoption donation is $1000 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Fifi and shower her with all the love and affection she craves, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
"Very cuddly and sweet" is how Oreo's former owners described her. She's a nice girl. Though a little nervous for initial meetings, she's ready to find her own forever home where she can settle in and get to know/bond with a new person who she can call her own! Nothing would make her happier. Oreo came to the shelter along with her daughters Roxy and Sunshine (from the same litter). The three came to the shelter due to financial issues their former owners were faced with at the time. Oreo's former owners said she has a prey-drive and likely would not do well with cats. She has lived with other dogs in the past though, but if there were a resident dog in the home, we'd want to host a meeting here at the shelter to ensure personalities were a match. Oreo was a young momma, and her daughter Sunshine is very independent, but Roxy is currently somewhat reliant on her mother for comfort so Oreo and Roxy could go home together if an adopter were interested in both, but it's not required. She is very vocal so an apartment-living wouldn't be a good fit. She's looking for an adult-only home (teens might be okay). If you're interested in Oreo, call the shelter at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to schedule an appointment to meet her!
