Story
Meet Finnick 🤍 Finn is sweet, gentle, and always happy. He’s an easy little guy who settles right into home life. Fully house and crate trained, he even puts himself to bed in his kennel and sleeps through the night. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys treats, loves looking out the window to see what’s going on, and has zero interest in cats. No destructive habits — just an excellent snuggler who lives for belly rubs. He’s equal parts loyal shadow and quiet little explorer. Finn would do best in a calmer home without a lot of chaos. Slow introductions to smaller, lower-energy dogs are ideal, as high-energy pups aren’t really his thing. He may need a little patience at first, but once he feels comfortable, his goofy personality shines through. Finn is ready for a peaceful home to call his own. 🐾 Fostered location: Whitehall WI Apply to adopt: tailsofhopewi.org NOTE: Donations made through the “Sponsor Me” tab on PetFinder do not support Tails of Hope-WI.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sunflower the Goldendoodle mix born in 2023! She is your daily dose of sunshine, served with extra wiggles and a side of chaos. Sunflower was found roaming busy streets like she was late for an important meeting. She ended up at a local animal shelter, but sadly no one came to claim this golden ray of happiness. That’s when we stepped in. We brought her in for her spay day and, after removing what felt like several pounds of dirt and matting, discovered an absolute gem underneath. The glow-up was real, folks. Sunflower is a young pup with excellent intentions and questionable body control. She truly wants to be polite, but her wiggly enthusiasm sometimes takes the wheel. She knows basic commands, listens closely, and works very hard to be the goodest girl — even when her legs are doing their own thing. Being left alone is not her favorite hobby. If given the chance, she may redecorate. We’ve been working hard on crate training and she’s making good progress, but she will need to be crated when left alone, currently for no more than about 5 hours. She will let you know when you leave, so shared walls may not be ideal. At night, she sleeps peacefully on a bed right next to us like the loyal little shadow she is. When it comes to playtime, Sunflower plays BIG. If she thinks another dog wants to play, she goes all in — full enthusiasm, no brakes. She would do best with another dog who matches her same “pizzazz for life,” or with a human who is fully committed to meeting her exercise needs. She has a lot of young-dog energy and thrives on structure, routine, and training (and probably snacks). She would likely prefer a home without cats — she sometimes mistakes smaller dogs for play toys. Leashes are… confusing. Sunflower is still figuring those out, so a secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal while she continues her leash education. She also has very long legs and doesn’t always realize how tall she is. Because she is still young and learning body awareness, her family will need to understand that she may accidentally knock someone over when she gets excited. Sunflower is affectionate, joyful, hilarious, and full of potential. She will need time to settle in and adjust to her new home, so we encourage her future family to read and follow the 3/3/3 rule to help set her up for success. With patience, consistency, and a sense of humor, she’ll grow into an amazing companion — and she promises to keep life interesting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
I’m Merlin, a handsome 3-year-old grey Standard Poodle with a soft heart and a gentle soul. I was found as a stray, and when no one came to claim me, I made my way to Animal Ark to start fresh. I’m a sweetheart through and through. I am sensitive, smart, and eager to bond with someone who understands me. I do best in a calm home with adults or older teens (16+), where I can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the loyal companion I’m ready to be. I may have had a mysterious beginning, but I’m hoping my next chapter is full of comfort, kindness, and a family who sees just how great I am.
