Story
Hi my name is Freckles. A 44 pound Doodle mix. I`m 1.5 years old.My foster mom thinks Standard Poodle with Terrier of some sort. The good news I don`t have crazy poodle hair going on. Occasional grooming as needed. Freckles is housetrained. No potty accidents. Not a big fan of the crate at bedtime. But he`s treat motivated. He`s ok to be left out during the day. Freckles would benefit with a active person or family that will play or go for walks. He`s good with other dogs. Cats unknown. But his foster mom thinks he would be fine. Freckles might want to play with the cat though. He`s working on walking nicely on a leash also.To learn more about Freckles, apply at powellpaws.org/adoption-application

Story
This is for two dogs that are brothers. They come from the same litter. Baxter is the brown one and Billy Bob is the black and white. We have temporarily taken them in as their owners are elderly and had to move to assisted living. They enjoy spending time outside and each other's company. They also enjoy napping. They are house trained but we do keep them in a secured room to avoid any accidents. They are not used to going on very many leash walks and need some practice with this. They have done well with boarding when needed. They do very well at the vet and are updated on all vaccines.

Story
Hi, I’m Hunter! I’m an 8-year-old male miniature poodle and weigh around 18 lbs.I spent my first 7 years living in an Amish puppy mill and was dropped off at a vet clinic when I was too old for breeding.I live with other dogs of all sizes (20-100 lbs) and do fine with them. I can be a little bossy at times, so would do best with other dogs who tolerate that. I would probably be calmer in a house with one or two calm dogs (right now I live with puppies and they can get me overexcited). I might be ok as an only dog too. If someone is interested in me, we could do a foster-to-adopt program to check it out. I would probably be fine with cats and can test if you need. I shouldn’t be in a home with children.I seem to be more comfortable around female adults and follow them around for attention. I have to trust you first and then I will want petted!I am crate trained and happily eat my meals in the crate. I should wear belly bands in the home as I work on housetraining. I am spry and healthy but don’t have much of an exercise requirement. It might be easier if you had a fenced yard but that is not currently a requirement. As far as toys, I love playing with my ball and like to paw at it and roll it around.Hope to find my family soon!
