Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Samson is a 1.5-year-old Husky, Australian Shepherd, and Poodle mix weighing about 40 pounds. He has a medium-high energy level and is full of playful curiosity. Though he is nervous at first, once he feels safe, Samson becomes a happy, bouncy pup who loves attention and belly rubs. One of his cutest quirks is emptying the toy box; he’ll take out every single toy and play with them all in turn. Samson is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. He is also crate-trained and does well when it’s quiet, though he may let his husky voice be heard if he feels he’s missing out on the action. He enjoys walks, fetch, and playing with other dogs, but may be best as the only dog in the family. Samson has shown mild curiosity around livestock and chickens and has done well on leash around them. We think he would be best in a home with no cats, since he tends to pester them in play. Samson had to be shaved down due to matting and will be looking for a family who will continue his grooming routine. He has made great progress with his initial shyness and is already much more comfortable with new people than when he first arrived. He sometimes shies away from men but continues to improve as he builds trust. With time and patience, his happy, goofy side shines through, and he becomes affectionate, silly, and eager to be part of the family. Samson is ready for a home that can give him both guidance and love, along with plenty of playtime and dog companionship. With the right family, he will grow into a loyal, fun-loving partner who fills the home with energy, joy, and all the toys scattered from his favorite game of emptying the toy box.  Interested in adopting? COURTESY LISTINGTeddy is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Teddy is a two year old chocolate brown Aussie Doodle mix with a sweet disposition, a gorgeous fluffy coat, and a story that will tug at your heartstrings just a little. This 40-pound girl has been a devoted companion to her elderly owner, who loves her deeply but can no longer give her the active life she deserves. Teddy is ready for her next chapter and has so much love left to give. She is housetrained, great with dogs of all sizes, and has the kind of easy and friendly personality that makes her a joy to be around. She loves her toys and is an enthusiastic and dedicated chewer, so keeping her well supplied with appropriate chew toys will go a long way toward keeping the shoes in your house safe. She is not crate trained but is smart and eager to please, which means a patient family willing to invest in some basic training will find her a wonderfully receptive student. Teddy has been around cats and her instinct is to give chase, so a home without cats or with very patient cat introductions would be the safest fit for everyone involved. She also has a strong interest in chasing cars, so a securely fenced yard is an absolute must to keep this sweet girl safe. Teddy is the kind of dog who simply needs the right family to step up and give her the time, training, and love that her current situation can no longer provide. She is friendly, affectionate, and genuinely great, and she deserves someone who recognizes exactly how special she is. To learn more about Teddy and potentially adopt her from her owner directly, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!   Interested in adopting?
