For much of her early life, MeShell tried to be content with limited interaction and long hours alone. While she loved her family, the lack of stimulation and extended crate confinement placed stress on her gentle system, eventually leading to a diagnosis of Addison’s Disease — a condition that is very manageable, especially in a home built on routine, consistency, and love. Everything changed when MeShell entered foster care. Surrounded for the first time by open skies, fresh air, and patient guidance, she began discovering what life could be. On a lively farm filled with dogs of all sizes, curious cats, horses, donkeys, and even pigs, MeShell absorbed new experiences with quiet determination. She learned how to play, how to relax in the presence of others, and how to take joy in simple freedoms — running through tall grass, resting near trusted humans, and curling up beside a canine companion at the end of the day. Today, MeShell is a happy, affectionate, and energetic girl who thrives on companionship and gentle structure. She is deeply people-oriented and does best when she is included, seen, and emotionally connected to her humans. Her care needs are straightforward: a daily pill, a once-monthly injection, and a lifelong promise that she will never again be overlooked. Hattie is a sweet, affectionate girl who just wants to be close to her people and follow their lead. This one-year-old Doodle mix weighs 57 pounds and has a playful, loving personality that shines once she feels secure and included. She is a people pleaser at heart and thrives with patience, guidance, and lots of attention. Hattie is a fast learner who already knows sit, place, and stay, and she is making great progress with house training when let out regularly. She settles well in her crate and enjoys routines that help her feel safe and confident. She loves squishy, squeaky toys and is happiest when she can cuddle up close, offering hugs and soaking up affection. She does great with other dogs and cats and truly enjoys having animal companions around. Hattie walks nicely on a leash and loves car rides, making her an easy partner for outings and everyday adventures.
