Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This young doodle is about 3 years old, and she’s smart, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her person. She needs a home with a physically fenced yard where she can feel safe, explore, and burn off that classic poodle energy.   She’s still working on house manners and potty training, so she’ll need an owner who understands dog behavior and leads with patience, consistency, and clear communication. She also needs to be the only dog in her home — not because she doesn’t like other dogs, but because she truly thrives in a calm, predictable environment without competition for food, toys, or attention. Without those shared resources, she relaxes, bonds deeper, and shows her best self. She is allergic to chicken, so a mindful diet will be important to keep her feeling her best.   She’s eager to connect, quick to learn, and full of personality. With the right owner beside her, she’s going to make an incredible companion.   If you’re ready for a loyal poodle who wants to share your world, she’s ready to meet you.     Medical Notes: Spayed Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Heartworm Negative ProHeart 12 Injection Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 9, 2026, 12:04 pm

Story
Me me me me meeeeeee!!!!!! What? Oh. My foster mom says that is NOT how to spell my name. It is spelled “MiMi" which sounds the same but who cares how it is spelled. I am a vintage model of a little poodle and I was a much loved member of the family at one time. Not to say that I am spoiled or anything but I know what I want when I want it! So it really is all about me! I adore being around my people and love being held. I will make little whimpering noises if you are there and I think I haven’t had enough lap time and look at you with my puppy dog eyes so that you feel guilty and pick me up where I want to be. I am a healthy 14 year old poodle who is scheduled for spay and teeth cleaning on Jan. 5th and then will be able to go to my new home after that. I use a potty pad when I am sleeping on the floor, but my foster mom puts a diaper on me when I sleep on your bed because I am not too keen about jumping off the bed. So when I have to potty, if I am on the bed, sometimes I will potty the bed. But the diaper takes care of that. I am a whopping 10 pounds and do walk pretty well of a leash as long as you don’t walk too fast. I am housebroken if you take me out on a schedule. Adoption fee in Texas is $200 Out of State fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $450.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
