Story
Meet Trapper – a two-year-old cream-colored Standard Poodle with a heart full of joy and a future full of promise! Weighing in at 42 pounds and still needing to gain a few to reach his ideal 55-pound frame, Trapper is a diamond in the rough who’s ready to shine bright in his forever home. Found wandering the backroads of rural Tennessee, matted and thin, Trapper’s spirit was never broken. Even in his roughest state, he greeted everyone with a wagging tail and a beaming smile. With no one stepping forward to claim him, Critter Cavalry Rescue gave this sweet boy a second chance—getting him cleaned up, fully vetted, neutered, and ready to start a brand-new chapter. Trapper is all in for life. He loves to play—especially with toys! Tennis balls? He’ll chase them all day long. Stuffed animals? Pure bliss. He’s fantastic with children, friendly with other dogs, and always eager to make new friends wherever he goes. He’s crate trained (and loves his crate like it’s his own little bedroom), housebroken, and doing well on leash walks. There’s something deeply special about Trapper. He’s vibrant, affectionate, and fully present in everything he does. With his coat growing back and some good meals in his belly, this boy will be a showstopper in no time—but his true beauty lies in his joyful soul and loving nature. If you’re looking for a playful, devoted, and unforgettable companion, Trapper is your guy.
