Meet Chewy, a fluffy 26-pound youngster who`s as sweet as sugar and twice as nice. His shyness might make him seem reserved, but don`t let that fool you. He`s a friendly and gentle soul, always ready to give affectionate cuddles. Chewy is a true lap dog, quiet and patient, just waiting for the right person to share his love with. He might be a bit jumpy and nervous, but with some training, he`ll become your most loyal companion. He`ll probably need help with house training and leash walking makes him nervous. His loving nature makes him perfect for someone who`s ready to give him the patience and care he needs. We haven`t seen him interact with other dogs or children yet. Adopt Chewy, and let him fill your life with unconditional love and companionship. (tw 5/12/2025)

Hi there, I'm Bella Elaine, but you can just call me "beautiful"! I'm a fast learner and know lots of commands- sit, lay, stay, paw, and boop! I'm a super sweet girl who loves naps, especially after long walks (2-3 miles), which helps keep me exercised both physically and mentally. While I love my walks, I do appreciate good hydration and don't like being too hot, so please bring some water along! I love cuddling, adventuring, playing with my balls, and zooming REALLY fast around the yard before crawling into bed to snuggle with you. I'm house and kennel-trained, too! I like to lounge around the house while you work or do whatever it is humans are so busy doing. Do you have balls at your house? If so, maybe we could play and I could stay forever and always?

Story
Adorable Pookie was found with her hair matted to the skin and so fearful that she snapped at anyone who tried to get close to her. Once she realized that she was safe and was freed from the painful masses of hair, she became a completely different dog. She's a spunky little gal with a great personality! She loves affection and is happy to just follow her person around all day. She enjoys going for walks and jumping in laundry baskets filled with clean clothes. She will play with dogs her own size but isn't a fan of larger dogs. Cats aren't her thing either, but she doesn't bother them. She's doing well with potty training but still needs close supervision. She knows some basic commands and is happy to sleep in her crate. She only weighs about 12 pounds, so she doesn't take up much room. Although Pookie has done very well, she would be best suited for a home with children 12 and up.
