Lucas is a 1-year-old, 45-pound Schnauzer/Poodle mix—although, truthfully, we're 100% guessing on the breed mix! Whatever his DNA says, one thing is certain: this boy is a whole lot of fun! Lucas has an abundance of energy and is looking for a loving, active family that can keep up with him. One of his favorite things in the entire world is laying in the water trough! If there is water around, you can pretty much count on Lucas finding it and making himself comfortable. This energetic guy is house broken, knows how to use the dog door, and does great in his kennel. He would also be an excellent candidate for someone looking for a future agility dog. He is athletic, energetic, and would love having a job to do and something new to learn! Lucas would absolutely love a playful canine sibling who wants to wrestle, run, and burn off some energy with him. He gets along with people of all sizes and even did great with the cats at the vet clinic! Lucas is looking for a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a fun-loving dog who can be their adventure buddy. And after all that activity, don't be surprised if he decides the water trough is the perfect place to relax! You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
