Story
There's nothing quite like young dog sweetness and silliness, and then they put their beautiful heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm breath. These gorgeous pups are so pure and vulnerable with their whole lives lying in front of them, that it's unbearable to think of them homeless and alone on the streets or in a high-kill shelter scheduled for euthanasia. Mojo is a sweet as can be 10 month old, 30 lb Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poodle mix) who is just waiting to be the love of a special family's life. Farfel's can't swear to the accuracy of this breed identification as no DNA test was done. This was the opinion of Texas veterinarians. All we know for certain is that this snuggly guy is irresistible. Mojo is starting out with great energy. While initially just a bit shy, this sweet guy is blossoming as he learns about living in a safe and nurturing environment with love and kindness . Now at 10 months old, Mojo's self esteem is growing every day as he learns that he's a very valuable guy that has so much to offer a dog-loving family. Mojo has a gorgeous, cottony-soft coat that is currently shelter-sad. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition. Current research is very clear that a human-grade, fresh diet is the healthiest choice we can provide for our pets. Farfel's has had personal experience and therefore highly recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) for far fewer vet visits and a long and healthy life for our best friends. Mojo is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. He's also so loving and cuddly once comfortable in his environment. This snuggly guy would be very excited to be a couch potato and snuggle with his favorite people at the end of a busy and active day. Even at just 10 months old, it's clear that this pup is SO smart and very sweet - typical of both the Shnauzer and Poodle personalities. Some would say that this breed mix is one of most loving and intelligent family dogs in the canine population. Since Mojo is just a young guy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. Sweet Mojo will form firm bonds with his family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement / force-free Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a young dog's ultimate behavior and in his relationship/bonding with his people. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal training classes. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Mojo out to a home that doesn't choose to offer him this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement / force-free trainers in your area. We would love to see Mojo in a home with a dog-crazy family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very sweet dog. We'd hate to see our social guy left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. We think he's too sensitive for that kind of arrangement. He's such an amazing dog and just the right size to nap under the desk while his people are working or to accompany his favorite people just about anywhere a smaller dog is welcome..and would absolutely love it. Mojo will be up to date on his vetting / vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to support our work in zero population growth in the canine community. Applications are currently being accepted for this gorgeous and sweet as can be pup who is learning about love and acceptance in his life. An adoption application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Mojo, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
