Story
** If you are interested in adopting Pluto, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Pluto! Pluto is a silly and friendly 10 month old, 35 pound Schnoodle. His breed is of course just a guess, as we do not DNA test rescue dogs, but the Houston vets believe him to be a Schnauzer / Poodle mix. (He may very likely just be a Schnauzer instead of a mix, though!) This sweet guy ended up in a scary shelter in Texas after being found as a stray, but now has arrived to Colorado for a fresh start. Pluto is super friendly with both people and other dogs, and he thrives on attention and playtime. From Pluto's foster: * * * * "Pluto is the sweetest, most affectionate guy! He is a big goofball and a big player. We have 2 young, medium sized dogs who Pluto plays very well with and he LOVES TO PLAY. (He would not do well in a home with a senior or non-playful dog as he is all about play and plays hard!) Pluto is a puppy, so needs basic training but he is VERY smart and so easily trainable! We taught him to sit in a minute. Pluto has a wonderful personality and loves being close to his people. He is a total cuddle bug and thrives on attention and cuddles us in bed at night. He sleeps in the silliest ways! He gets along great with new people and other dogs, and while he can get a bit excited when first meeting new pups, it’s all friendly excitement. Pluto is playful, active, and full of joy. He loves toys, balls, and playing fetch, and he enjoys running around the backyard just as much as curling up for a snuggle afterward. Pluto would do best with someone active, and with a yard for him to play in. At night, Pluto prefers to cuddle in bed. Pluto is learning to be comfortable in his kennel when we leave the house. He doesn't love being crated, and will bark in the crate at first but eventually settles. I would say he is potty trained, as he has not had any accidents! He can be mouthy when he plays, like the puppy that he is, but he will probably grow out of that. He is a smiler and smiles when he gets excited or when I get home!" * * * * We do not recommend Pluto with kids under 10 years old because of his energy level and size. Since Pluto is so young, he is a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. With positive reinforcement training, he has all the potential in the world to be a loyal, well-mannered adult companion. He’ll thrive with virtual or in-person force-free training classes, which will help strengthen his bond with his humans and build him confidence. Pluto is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
My mom first acquired Zodo about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, as my mother has aged, she is unable to continue caring for Zodo. It has been a difficult realization for her. Zodo is 16 years old. She is a spry little thing for her age. Surprisingly, she is a very active dog. She has no known health problems except that she is missing some teeth. Zodo needs a home where she can come and go outside freely as she frequently needs to go outside to go to the bathroom. If Zodo needs anything more of, it's walking. My mom has been unable to give Zodo the activity she needs. I hope Zodo ends up in a home where she gets regular exercise, a soft bed to sleep in, and nice people to care for her.

Story
100% of adoption fee goes to the shelter or rescue of your choice. 🐾 Meet Harli Quinn – Your New Sweet, & Loving Adventure Buddy!🐾 This stunning, playful, and affectionate 3 year old pup is looking for her perfect match. She’s sweet, loyal, & thrives on being the center of attention. Raised with dogs, cats, & kids, she coexists well with others—but her strong herding instincts show in her play. She often tries to control interactions around her & may do better in a home that understands this behavior & can help guide her through it. She’ll need regular grooming to keep her looking & feeling her best. Seeking an experienced dog owner who understands her drive & energy. She may thrive best as an only dog or with another confident, similarly-minded pet. Harli would love an active lifestyle, adventures, training, & plenty of enrichment. This is a very difficult decision, but I believe Harli deserves a home where she can get the focused time, structure, and activity she craves.

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZnVouAvph-c Axle is a young adult boy who weighs about 40 lbs. He is the absolute sweetest boy who loves cuddles and gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He is very calm and only gets excited when you direct your attention towards him. He doesn't jump or paw at you. In the video he was terrified in a shelter with a 100 dogs barking so that level of excitement is not his normal. He has wavy/curly hair but it's soft, not wiry. He is an absolute gem. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Meet Willow—a gentle, sweet-natured Schnauzer/Poodle mix who’s ready to find her forever home. Weighing about 50lbs, Willow is a lovely medium-large pup with a calm presence and a soft, affectionate personality. She truly enjoys being around people and is happiest when she can follow her human from room to room. While she can be a bit timid in new situations, she takes comfort in her person and will continue to build confidence as she experiences more of the world. Willow is a wonderful walking companion and does great on a leash. She is crate trained and appears to be house trained as well, especially when let outside on a consistent schedule. She’s excellent with other dogs—interested in playing but very polite and laid-back, often content to simply relax nearby rather than needing constant interaction. In her foster home, Willow has also shown she’s cat-friendly, happily coexisting with the resident cat and giving him plenty of space. With her gentle nature, calm demeanor, and loving heart, Willow would make a fantastic addition to a home looking for a sweet and easygoing companion. Willow is an 8-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $1000 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Willow is also tested with other dogs, children, cats, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting adoption events on Saturday, February 7 or 14. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applications February 2-15.* For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Thank you for choosing adoption!
