Story
Special Needs but with a HUGE HEART!! Please read entire bio below!! Charlie is a 3 year-old Yorkie/Schnauzer mix weighing around 16 pounds, and is pure joy wrapped up in a small, scruffy package. Charlie greets life with a happy, playful spirit that’s impossible not to smile at. Charlie is incredibly social and thrives in a home with another playful dog who can be his buddy for zoomies, games, and backyard adventures. He MUST have a playful dog 15-25 lbs in size and close in age. Charlie loves to play with other dogs in a fenced yard and we will not take this away from him. Must have fenced yard as well. He’s a lover boy who not only loves to be held, but also a toy-loving, fun-chasing, tail-wagging kind of boy… honestly, he might pick his toys over food if given the choice! His happiest moments are running freely in a fenced yard with his doggie friends, playing, exploring, and also being part of the action with his people. ⨠What makes Charlie special: Friendly, social, and affectionate with everyone Loves other dogs and would adore a playmate Energetic, playful, and full of happy personality About 16 lbs—perfect small companion size Thrives with space to run and play Charlie is also a homebody at heart and would do best in a stable, loving home where he can stay close to his person and enjoy a predictable, comforting routine. A little note from his care team: Charlie does require daily eye medications and may need ongoing eye drops long-term. It’s simply part of his care routine—and it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He takes it all in stride, and it’s a small thing compared to the huge amount of love, joy, and companionship he gives every single day. Because when you meet Charlie, you don’t see “medication needs”—you see a happy little dog with the sweetest soul, the gentlest heart, and a personality that fills an entire room. He’s the kind of dog who makes life lighter, funnier, and a whole lot more loving. He does still like to play with his mouth like a young dog, no small kids under 10. He is not aggressive at all but we don’t want his play to get misinterpreted.May 24, 2026, 1:43 pm
