This sweet girl was found running loose for weeks in a rural area near Fredericksburg, Texas, before a kind samaritan was able to safely take her in. The samaritan tried diligently to find her original owner, and when those efforts were unsuccessful, they reached out for more help. It appears Freya may have recently had puppies, adding to her history of hardship. Despite her past, she has a heart full of love to give. She does take a little time—about an hour—to warm up to new people. But once you're in her circle of trust, she is your most devoted shadow. Freya absolutely loves to snuggle and will follow you everywhere, eager to be close to her person. Now, Freya is patiently waiting for a safe and loving forever home where she can finally put down roots and be cherished. I am 20lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.
